I am a newcomer! Need tips and info
Hey fellow programmers,
I am new to the field and just joined the workforce. I work in a firm that doesnt have too many developers. My question is where do you "fellow developers" hang out? Whom do you go to if you have a problem or are stuck when writing a code? Which online sites would you recommend the most for problem solving? Please help, need your tips and tricks to survive in this industry!

When your stuck .. CodeGuru is the place .. VB6, C++, .NET , SQL, anything Code related.. you will find it here..
Theres even a relaxed non code area with jokes, member pics, movies, music, and 100's of other subjects...
Once you settle in you will never leave ...

Hello Newbeegeek - I think Arjay's post puts it very eloquently, there is nothing to add to that apart from this "me too" post.. :)

I wished you had warned me about that before I joined up. This place is addictive!

Yes - there are also some other good resources out there. I don't want to advertise other sites, but I think it would be fair to mention this one if you're into Java: http://forum.java.sun.com - it's the Java developer's website. Probably one of the best places (other than here) to get help with Java problems.
