Oh...I love the new moderation built into the page!!!
Serious questions should be asked in feedback ;) :D
Brad!
(and no, I don't believe there is a list of what updated)
<< Thread moved to feedback >>
You'll notice the use of AJAX though ;)
Uh OH, I think I see something I definately DONT like.....
I am a heave user of the "New Posts" page...
I just noticed that with the new version. If I reply to a thread on the new posts page, it immediately disappears, and can not be easily located.....
I really wish (and have stated this for years), that the logic was simplified so that it showed all posts since a given date time (with manual control over that time on my CP, and a default to automatically update it to my PREVIOUS signin time).
I am going to have to figure out (after getting some sleep) how to deal with this change in behaviour......
Even WORSE...just oping a thread makes it disappear.....
Does ANYONE have a decent suggestion on how I can keep track of new posts (ie ALL THreads in ALL forums that have been updated since a point in the past...competely independant of me having previously looked at or responded to them)?????
PLEASE tell me there is a way.....
My typical usage is to quickly browse through all of the threads that have been updated since I last did a scan (yes, try to read every one - except for certain Chit/Chats).
Sometime I will have an immediate response, but most times I formulate a mental priority queue (using a vague process) and then address them during the day as time permits.
This means that thread X may have been updated over-night, I read it at 8:00AM, but dont get around to doing anything about it until that evening.
The GOOD news, its that the functionallity is there, under "Quick Links" with "Todays Posts"....
Brad,
What kind of ramifications does the new "Infractions" feature hold? Also, I assume this is only available to the mods. Am I correct in that assumption?
There are some mod features that can be discussed among the mods. This includes better tools for managing spam and more.
The Infractions feature (new) is something we are likely to not use.
Brad!
Gotcha.
One problem I have been stuck with since the upgrade is that even though I check the "Remember Me" box, everytime I have to re-login.
I also noticed that there are tags added to the threads .. If posters keep them updated it should help with searches.. :D
