how to integrate CTI adapter to salesforce.com

Hi all,
I have to integrate PC softphone to salesforce.com to give the facility to the user to make call and other facilities.To integrate the softphone i have to use CTI adapter so i would like to know that how to start ?I have the adapter source code also.
