Confusion about the terms SDLC and Software Process
Hi Everyone,
I have some confusion about the terms SDLC and Software Process. With respect to these (and more or less similar) terms, a have a few question.
1. What is the difference between SDLC and Software Process ? (I understand SDLC is not just Waterfall).
2. Can we map SDLC with Unified Process ?
3. About the activities- Analysis in tradition waterfall model, Do we do Analysis in Unified Process (Any unified process- Agile or Rational) ?
Thanks for your time and help.
-Vipul.

Re: Confusion about the terms SDLC and Software Process
Hi - I'm not an expert in this pretty much at all, but as far as I can tell:
(1) I'm not sure there is a difference between SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and Software Process...
(2) Not really sure, but I suspect the answer is "yes".
(3) Not sure I understand, but either mode of analysis would probably be fine?
Um, not sure if that's helpful. If you ask with a more concrete question you might get better answers (the ones you posed are... vague...). Also, you might try the General Development Topics board (still on CodeGuru) which is a bit better monitored than this one (which is pretty quiet).
