Please get rid of this MS Windows Azure pop up. I shouldn't have to be concerned about where I drag my mouse to avoid triggering it. And it won't go away until I click the close box. IT IS A TOTAL PAIN!

I forwarded your comment to our VP of sales.
Brad!
:(You are worried about that? What about all the third party websites this website sends you to behind the scenes? I have seen some questionable content in my status bar while loading codeguru ;)
Okay I dug a lot more and this website does send you to very questionable websites..........
This is my cache file that was cleaned before accessing this website. IT WAS DONE DURING MY LOG IN!.. Yes, my computer is not infected :D and this website does send you to these sites behind the scenes. I have not checked for the relevant javascript, but I am sure it is probably somewhere deep inside all those third party ads....
This is my disk cache file that has been shortened to not reach the max character count for posts.. but I have uploaded the cache logs and placed them as an attachment.
I couldn't imagine going to codeguru at a work place :lol: Next words from your boss, "You're Fired!" or "We don't pay you to look up porn!"
I have been posting since 2008 here and have a good reputation here.
I am simply informing people on a sad problem :thumbd:. I also don't like amazon fully loading behind the scenes either. It slows done my computer with all these ads
Deleted attachments and links since no longer needed
We are looking into this. Something is going on that shouldn't be.
And thanks for posting this (btw - I'm going to remove the links from your post)
BraD!
Thanks for looking into it. :)
When did you first notice this (or the things going across the status bar)? I noticed an issue last night that we've been looking into. That issue is ....gone.... right now, but it relates to what you mentioned. We are tracking. And we are working to track this down.
Brad!
I am not sure :(, but I know it was 9+ days. It probably was even longer. I normally run adblock plugin in firefox :) I was lucky enough to catch it in the status bar of my virtualbox os which doesn't have adblock plugin installed.
Wow, I didn't expect that one little post to bring up more complaints. But I suppose whatever stands to improve things has some value.
The power of words Lou ;)
We take complaints seriously :)
Brad!
You mean the one in the attached image? (I also captured some area around the "ad" to clarify where it sits on the page.) I find this one particularly annoying because the browser automatically scrolls down to it after some seconds of idle time (at least right after entering the page). Until today I've only noticed this one on the forum's entry page, but now it happened for the first time on one of the individual section index pages. :thumbd:
Also, the other ones (looks like it are particularly those with questionable names) keep polluting the browser history, thereby compromising the functionality of the browser's back and forward buttons. The most notable annoyance that caused to me was losing a page with forum search criteria I wanted to modify. Not really a big loss either, but in fact annoying. (Maybe this was at least partially due to me getting lost in the polluted browser history.)
In case that matters: The browser is IE8.
We are aware of that ad and are working to figure out where it is tagging along from. It should not be on the page.
Totally agree - a total PITA.
I appreciate adverts pay for the site but they can be attention grabbing without making the site almost unusable. As for MS, they don't seem to understand how counter productive over-aggressive advertising can be - especially when the target are not cloth heads!
That is it. Sometimes it won't show :), but I would have lots of amazon stuff in my cache. I am not sure why it doesn't show sometimes.. i could have been using a different brower at the time.Quote:

I'm likely to see it as well, but in case I miss it....
Thanks,
Brad!
