A good starting point for learning thru books will be 'Programming Visual C++' by Steven Holzner and 'Programming Visual C++' by David J.Kruglinski, Scott Wingo and George Shepherd(Microsoft Press).

I have seen the book 'Programming Microsoft Visual c++' you were talking about. I have a look at the contents table and notice topics like EXO... Example. Are they tutorials described such as those on the msdn tutorials on line?
One question more, is this book translated in french yet? If so, can i have its references?
