VB app to send SMS

I started project working with VBA and I am trying to send and receive SMS messages using HTTP requests. I will add SMS messaging functionality to my system with the use of an HTTP SMS gateway, (I found OzekiSMS Gateway) and post SMS messages to this gateway using HTTP requests. I will run the VB.Net application on a different computer. They recommend Microsot Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition (http://www.ozekisms.com/index.php?owpn=587). Is it the best VB version for my purpose?

Please share with me your idea.

So as a start YES this is fine for you to start with... There's no reason I can think of that you NEED another Ver of VS just for this project.. In fact for any future project this should work fine for ya....
