Need feedback (admin): Simple Bluetooth Communication in J2ME

I received some scathing feedback on the following article that was posted to the main site. I'm not a Java person, so I need help. Can anyone here familiar with Bluetooth communication with Java mobile take a look at this article and let me know if it is off base? Is the article out of date? Ultimately, I'm trying to determine if it needs to be removed from the site.
