You can not. If you can. I can, too. Then
I can write up a login dialog that looks the
save as the real one and use that to steal
your password. And then M$ and all Windows
users are screwed.
Well though Windows security is laughable.
It is however not really as bad as the scenary
I described above. Not yet :-)
actually, I have done that before... I didn't exactly REPLACE it, but I ran a dialog that looked JUST like the login dialog.. that dialog laid on top of the real login screen and when the user input the values, it said that the user had entered an invalid username and password, wrote the values to a file, and exited leaving the real login dlg visible....
I did it for educational purposes only of course =)
