Agreed..

I am planning to buy one Blue Glove and keep it with me everytime.. The moment i see that guy in the Ad on the road or somewhere else, I am gonna bang him twice:D .. once because he keeps irritating me.. and second time because he is irritating you too..:D

I've finally notice the adds you are talking about. :D Until now I thought you ment the ones on the top of the page. Well, as somebody already said, I think that after a while the brain develops an ad filter.

I totally agree that the side ads are obnoxious and annoying... the codeguru crap below it doesnt make it any better. being able to collapse them doesnt help (unless you cache thier state as a session flag and automagically collapse them everywhere if thats what we've chosen)

as motivation, there are a lot of great sites out there that provide the same content as is found here. these ads drive would-be visitors to those sites (they do me).

The norm of what? Not the codeguru norm. Look at how the site has gone down the toilet in less than two months (see the original date on this post). We've gone from small ads to the right of the text, to larger ads and now we have more ads below the larger ads. What's next? Layers of ads?

This is definitely going in the wrong direction.

The post totals from January to now, are pretty similar. Any deviation there is, doesn't coincide with the arrival of these ads. There was a post spike in april, but jan. and feb. are right in line with May June, and so far, July.
