I also vote for keeping Sweden. As I told you, since France is gone, I have to find a home somewhere.
Sorry Spain, but you'll always be an 'E' for me anyway! :) (I'm not talking about marks).
Marina <- my name could sound spanish too!

Very well, on popular request: nuke Cuba and Egypt, save Canada and Espagna. There is probably more Eqyptian art in the United Kingdom than in Egypt and I destroyed them in favor of the USA, so it won't matter much anyway.Quote:

It is a popular joke in France indeed that Belgians are not that smart. In Holland too, maybe Germany too, OK say the rest of the world. But if 1 dumb Afghan, who's name we shall not mention, can cause nearly 3000 deaths, think of what 1 dumb Belgian could do.Quote:
Obviously Spanish and Quebec men don't know as much about Belgium people as we French know. That's why they were not aware that no man from Belgium would be smart enough to accomplish such a plan.
LOL :D :D :pQuote:

And that "chien chaud" is not true ? Well that guy in Montreal who was selling me a chien chaud might just have been pulling my leg then
I've already heard about such tourist joke. We never use "chien chaud", we use "hot-dog", be sure of that! How can you have eat such a thing!! a "chien chaud" OH!
cheers
JeffB 123 votes if I remember... cool
The Canadians were having trouble with the poll (I've moved more Canadian votes from "other" than I've moved of all other countries). As such I sorted most of the countries. Being that I'm in the US, I decided to leave it at the top :).
By the way, as far as I can tell, sorting polls is not a supported function in vBulletin.
Brad!
Thanks for your efforts, Brad.
Btw, 125 till now. Still silently growing...

Who isnt ? I love this poll ! :DQuote:
Thanks, Brad! (I am having fun here, too;))

Hi guys
though i am from india i voted for usa. It is here where i started working in Visual C++ so i think whereever we guys are working we should vote for that country. Just because im an indian doesnt mean i have to vote for india though i love it just like any other indian. Am i making sense ???? guys help me out !!
But the question was "Where are we from" and not "Where are you working". I am also from india and work in Germany, but i still voted for my INDIA. ;)Quote:

Amazing how many people here are from India though... Well then again it has a bit of a bigger population than Luxembourg ;)
From what I know, most of the more active programmers here in Codeguru tend to come from 3 major places : India, the US, as well as Europe.(with the exception of Northen European countries)Quote:

I don't remember seeing any active poster here from the UK, I think.(with respect to the Visual C++ Programming forum)
Well, there's Jase Jennings, but.......aye~! That guy is too busy eating his plate of chicken chop with peas and green beans, with dices of carrots, as well as a bunch of bread, really hot and delicious soup, french fries and above all, the piece of large, tender chicken chop. :)
There's several programmers here from China, but they don't seem to be too interested in discussions other than serious programming stuff and questions. Hmmm.......Brad.......maybe we can build some rapport with these guys? One good way is that you get Internet.com to sponsor us with 100 tickets and free hotel accomodation, as well as a stack of US$1200 notes to spend on, and the 100 most active posters in Codeguru.com will have these tickets.(of course, my place is already secured! :p)
As a result, we get to learn things from them, see the country, climb the Great Wall, surf the restaurants and more. In return, this 100 of us wouldn't mind wearing t-shirts that says, "Internet.com rules!!!" or "Codeguru ROCKS!!!", or even, "The Lord is Brad Jones!!!"
Or maybe, we could go to Brazil instead; there's not too many programmers there and the 100 of us can turn some of them into programers.(C++ Programmers, not others)
It's something like missionaries going from country to country, trying to convert the citizens there from a certain religion to a certain religion.
The last thing is that it would be good if free tours would be organised so that budding programmers like us can make a group trip to the Microsoft HQ in Redmond, Washington. This way, we can move around the HQ, talk to those programmers and distract them, try to get a glimpse of the code, and maybe, Microsoft would give us a set of free GUI ActiveX controls each as a souvenir.
That would be very nice indeed. Ummm......can someone please organize this kinda tours? :):D
I was already reading it as...Quote:

Heh heh heh! Let's not have any twisted or naughty ideas, Yves pal!Quote:

Mind you, the programmers at Microsoft are among the best in the world!
The reason why Microsoft produces buggy programs is cos' they bite off more than they can chew. In the case of Microsoft, they're just like a hungry dog who's trying to take down and kill a Carcharodontosaurus, one of the largest of all carnivorous dinosaurs(larger than the T-rex), and eat it.
It's impossible.
If they settle for simpler programs that're smaller size instead, I wouldn't be suprised if there ain't a single bug. Then, we real men will all be drinking beer and toasting to 'em, hard and strong and large.(the li'l gurls wouldn't understand what I'm saying) :D:)
:D :D ... In Spain... Francisca is a girl's name too... but they are called "Paca" or "Paqui" or "Paquita" :D :D :DQuote:

So you re-ordered and passed France in 8th position instead of 6, pushing Central America in front, even though noone has said he was from Central America...Quote:

By the way, could we change Iceland, to Scandinavian countries? I think there will be more people from the rest of Scandinavia than from Iceland, won't there?
Marina
Can't we replace Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxmbourgh, Spain and UK with the European Union. This way, we are already sure of 31 votes, plus a transfer of me from others is 32 votes minimum. This would have many advantages:
1. The US wouldn't look all powerful anymore.
2. European countries couldn't be neglected any more.
3. I think small countries like Luxembourgh and Iceland shouldn't be mentioned, there are a lot of countries with more inhabitants.
4. There would be room for new countries. I suggest Pakistan and Southeast-Asia (Indonesia,Malasya,Birma,Vietnam,I've seen people from there already).
