Gabriel is right. He fell out of something and is heading DOWNWARDS toward the field.
Is it Gabriel's turn now or are we still arguing about the little squares??
P.S. a point to Gabriel, of course

Well do you accept my changing of the riddle now? I'll agree with the first one to tell me 'yes' or 'no'.Quote:

Positive Score:
1. Gabriel - 3pts
2. Saturno, Simon, Elrond, John, solarflare - 2pts
3. me - 1pt
Simon will get a point may be :D
If you haven't posted the revised riddle yet, why not keep it till it's your turn again?
I have:Quote:

But if you say so will we accept Simon's answer
I still don't quite understand. You're saying that Simon actually got the answer wrong - but only because you hadn't fully posted the question. Is that right? Are you saying that the different squares should have been different sizes then?
Maybe Gabriel should decide. If he hasn't got a puzzle to post yet, should we carry on with yours?
But you do need to explain what you mean by "different" squares.
Carry on people. I don't have a good riddle yet :)
yep! that's right.Quote:

We're waiting for Gabriel to say something... but in the meantime you can try (only try that is:D ) to solve my problem ;)
Okay!Quote:

Sorry, Seventhstar. I'ce just edited my earlier post to say that you need to explain what is meant by "different" squares. Because Elrond did find different squares, I think.
Well al the squares posted are equal, same sides, same areas, etc... and are good enough for the the firts part of the taskQuote:

now I need a different square ;)
HE! I made the seven squares! Simon only did twice the same square with two different positions of the additional rectangle.Quote:

May be the riddle should have been something like: How many squares can you make by adding one rectangle. But there's no point continuing the riddle if my previous answer is correct. We should just give it up because of a wrong (or incomplete) question. And let Gabriel ask the next one as he answered the farmer's one!
Apologies Elrond. I went back and edited my post after I realised it was you who found the 7 squares. I think we need Seventhstar to explain himself. As far as I'm concerned your solution proved that at least 7 different squares could be found in ddifferent positions but they were all the same size.
Seventhstar, you need to explain what was wrong with Elrond's answer.
What do you mean by different? I showed how to have a lot of different squares. Do you mean different size? Or what else?Quote:

Okay I give up my question... I cannot answer you questions
that's because if I tell you what's a different square there'll be no point in answering...
I give te point to Simon because he first answered the posted task according to the condition. Now see what a different square is:
oh! and decide who will ask.
