About the language: Belgium has three official languages, Dutch, French and German. The Dutch speaking part of Belgium is called Flanders (or "Vlaanderen" in Dutch) and is economically the strongest and wants
independance as
we transfer large amounts of money to the other part, as well as because the other part keeps acting annoying. The French speaking part of Belgium is called Wallony, has high unemployment rates and does very little about it, a small minority of them want to become part of France (rattachism), something the French have never been fond of. :D :p And last but not least we have a very small German speaking part in the east. This formerly German territory is a little 'gift' Belgium asked and received after WWII as compensation. If you ask me, it only complicates things and brings with it a lot of extra unnecessary expenses, such as making all official documents in German. The ratio French/Dutch speaking people is around 60/40.
