Xeon, I have a stupid job just until I finished my project and I find a job for an engineer. I work in a kind of help desk, so if nobody calls or sends e-mails, I don't have anything to do and I can surf the web, write my c++ programs, read a book or whatever i feel like doing, ok?. :p :p

Actually people don't phone much, so I can relax and have nice discussions with you and the rest in Codeguru. :)

And, about posting in the vc++ forum... well, mine are really basic questions, you know. And it's a bit embarrasing apart from that I read the posting rules and I want to follow them, so I only post when I'm desperate.

I just wanted to checked the thread I started about the book, so this is my last post until monday. As I said before...

Yep, I have been to London on multiple occasions. It just seems weird that anyone could glorify an underground mass transportation system. I guess it's just me. Anyway, "special flavo(u)r" would be like "special style," while "special taste" would be like you could tell what station you were at by licking the floor.

But Platinum was a shady character... we can never know for sure how much of what he said was true and how much was forced. I'm still not 100% convinced that he's from Africa. I'm not convinced that there is a place called Africa; he just made it up so you couldn't find him when he knew he couldn't stay locationless forever. But let's not diverge.

As far as Platinum is concerned, it raises concern indeed: South Africa and some cities have very high crime rates. :eek: :eek:

OK, I agree that this is currently a bit insider stuff only, which I try to keep limited. But SeventhStar dug up this old corpse without any good argumentation. If you want to see a good argumentation which brought also other people to doubt even though it later proved to be wrong, then go here.

This is a pattern, Solar. Through the history of Codeguru, there would be newcomers who join and participate actively. These people include Yves M, Sonu Kapoor, VGiris, FieryTycoon, Jase Jennings and Platinum Plus, among lots of others.
The most loyal of all, though, is Xeon, Sam Hobbs, Paul McKenzie, John CZ, Philip Nicoletti and such.

But despite my loyalty, I was never rewarded!(for example : free chance to become assistant moderator or a US$900 Visual Studio .net Architect Edition voucher):cool:

Then, after about 6 - 10 months, they started to get less active and as time goes on......they left.

I was just kidding. I think I've seen this joke in movies once at the expense of people eating deer. And I didn't say Platinum was bad, I questioned him being good, that is different. For example you can eat horse in Belgium and dog in Korea while these two are considered more or less "barbaric" in the USA.
