It happened to me last year. I see what you mean. Except we were 40 losing our jobs since they decided to close our company in France.
I hope they will compensate you with a lot of money, so you could take your time to find a good next job. And even put some aside for future. ;o) I remember when our bosses bought new cars all the same week! Impressive!
When I was looking for a job, I was not hanging around too often, almost never... When you have to pay to visit codeguru, and you don't have any particular programming problem, why losing some time in General Discussion?? ;o)

OH Ana! Please don't cry! I mean, this is normal, given the situation of the current economy state and such.
There's no need to feel sad or anything. We gotta be real strong in life and take down obstacles and hardship one by one as they arrive.
And no. Committing suicide is never an option, please. So, NEVER ever think of doing that kinda acts. The truth is : it's only weaklings who kill themselves cos' they're afraid to face up to life.

Since this b@stard of a company fired you, it's their loss, anyway. There's millions of jobs in the world with vacancies, and as long as you're willing to work and you've some sortta skills, there's no fear. That's why.

Worse come worse, as a last resort, you can always resort to be a cleaner if there's no job for you. There's an ace in every trade, so don't give up.

Now, Ana. We'll all stand by you. Although I've never experienced any job loss myself, I can roughly imagine how gloomy and terrible it is. Some folks who lost their job feel lost and as if they're floating in the air and can hit the ground anytime.
But time will heal all problems, and there's no problems in the world that cannot be solved.
