Not really, he should have took my license. The problem is, he couldn't prove it. No radar on, just his word. He let me off, he didn't have to...been lucky like that.. As far as booze, well we just passed a stupid law in MD, that says...NOBODY can have an open container in the car...now that's just silly, the driver as usual can't have an open container, but man come on...summer time, hitting the beach, why can't I/we as passengers throw back some cold ones on the way..dumb....the next state over West Virgina doesn't even have an open container law, meaning if your the driver, you can chug a beer while your driving..now that's stupid.

Wow, going to France? I've left too long ago to be able to help you.

Where are you going in France? Because that can change a lot of things. There are places (around Paris and Nice) where you can ask for much more than other places (doesn't mean you'll live better though).

Being married or not do not make any difference for you rsalary expectations in France. At least I don't think so.
Anyway, this can still depend on what studies you did. I would say 36000 euros a month minimum. You may ask for 40K if you are good in something specific (not general like C++), and if you are a man.

Do you need more explanations??? anyway, I'm sure Elrond is as qualified as myself to explain this tax stuff. I gave you the salary I can pretend to, but that's because I have 4 years of experience, and I made a engineer school (5 years of study), and I have some experience abroad.

Actually, mines prettier...it's red/black/gray, with a yoshi pipe, just couldn't find a shot of my bikes style <I think I'll actually do a insane search for my bike style today>...so went with an F-4...I have a F-2 1993...only cost 7500 back in 93...want to get a new f-4 or a GSXR750....I love to ride...

Here's a hint, if your gonna buy, buy a used one, kids buy bikes, and ride them for like a year, then sell them really dirt cheap because the fascination is over, you can get a used SuperBike with less than 3k miles on it...it's sad...if you gonna buy a bike, ride it man!!!

Your kidding? 36K??? Ok so that's like the equiv. of 80K in the states right? I mean something like that right? Crap-o-la if I got paid 36K I'd be blowing things up....

I am a Enginerring graduate and have specialit ies in MFC and ATL COM
So, I can go for for 40K Euros per year.

Why would 36k€ be 80k$? 1€~=1$, you know. 36k€/year is not that much, actually, especially with taxes included.

I know!!!! I was just asking, that the cost of living or something makes 36K in france seems like 80k in the US....if your making 36K as a C++ developer, then your WAY underpaid, by 10 miles....

I can't tell whether 36k in France are like 80 k in The States. And yes, 36k is not much, indeed, but the IT market is not that good in Europe right now, you know.

What would you consider a fair payment (in The States)?

Well I can only speak about my area...

Lets see these are guesstimates...

I think the average is like 70K or so in the BWI area.

Junior eng. would be like 50K to 65K
Mid-level would be like 65 to 75K or so
Senior can range from 80 to 95K
