Re: 2005-2006 European Football Cups Season
So last night Juventus finally won with more than one goal distance, in part due to a golad from Mutu. Ronaldinho scored three times agains Udinese, and Manchester suffered 85 minutes before securing victory. The only good part was that hapf of the team was under 24, and I expect them to perform great in 3-4 years.
Anyway, I expect the match between Liverpool and Chelsea tonight to be great. And I bet that Chelsea will win. It will be also interesting to see how Real Madrid performs tonigh.
Re: 2005-2006 European Football Cups Season
Just a few minutes from the start - I will also put my bet - I think its going to be a draw or an upset for chelsea. The most probable scorelines:
Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Lets see how it goes... but this match really doesnt matter...but yes if chelsea lose this one they are gonna falter down possibly in the EPL as well. Cheers...Regards.

Can they not buy some good midfield talent?

Well, Liverpool and Chelsea provided a great footbal match, but ended in a scoreless tie. It's not that surprizing after all. ;)
Real Madrid barely won their match against Olympiakos. Porto lost at home and Milan drew 2 - 2 in Germany with Schalke 04.

goalless match...Liverpool keep pushing forward, but lack in finishing....Chelsea's defenders are good...Oct 2nd will be another clash with Chelsea in EPL...hope they didn't worn out after so much attacking..
Man U still got the young talents...
anyway, did you saw the Barca's match...Lionel Messi is a great prospect...in fact, he is already in the great standard...Diego Maradona wasn't wrong when he said the young lad is his successor...the young Messi surely can make the opponents's day messy...

Sympathies with Liverpool...the referee wasnt fair with them else they could have had easily got a few penalty chances...Cheers. :thumb: (mrREE must be happy that they didnot lose...they played good in fact and did not spend the time defending :thumb: )

I heard this line plenty of times, most of the times with disapointing outcomes... So, let's see what future holds.

Re: 2005-2006 European Football Cups Season
Well done ROMANIA!!! 3 Romanian teams have made it for the UEFA Cup group phase. Steaua (who got rid of Valerenga), Rapid (who upset Fayernoord) and Dinamo (who outtopped Everton). Bucharest is the first city of Europe with 3 teams in this stage of the competition.
Well, I'm a little bit upset that Dinamo actually lost yesterday in Liverpool against Everton, but the agregate 5 - 2 says it all. I hope they learned something from yesterday's match. And I'm trully relieved to hear that Arteta is ok, that he even joked about the worries about his condition, after the clash with Plesan, though at this point doctors don't know if we will be able to play or not Sunday against Man City. I was really concerned that he had an injury at the spine. His spasm on the field were awful.
Anyway, well done, Romanian Teams!

:D :D MrRee :D :D Liverpool thrashed at home by Chelsea....4-1....hahaha...I couldnt stop laughing ... its horrible..I did not see the match but its really amazing that when they won against chelsea in last champion's league and drew with them last week...with such a great performance ...how could they lose so miserably this weekend??? My sympathies would always be with Liverpool..by the way I supported them against AC Milan in the last champions league final ... and thought they let me down in front of my friends but in the end they did not...I even wrote a blog post on this....Here is the link if you are interested - Its noon and I am feeling sleepy. Disclaimer - dont bug me if the post bored you. :D
As for Utd..I am happy that they are back to their winning form .. and the trend of coming from behind to win matches...I hadnt seen many such acts by them recently..
Re: 2005-2006 European Football Cups Season
I could not watch the match, but I've seen the events unfolding live on the net. 1 - 4! Wow, that's total humiliation. ;)
Re: 2005-2006 European Football Cups Season

That is Gerrard as in Steven Gerrard...or are you referring to the old manager of theirs? Houllier ? Owen cannot come back to that team...that would be aweful for him...Newcastle is a good one for him...and he will get plenty of action...plenty to play...that will help him improve...at Real Madrid ..I just felt sorry for him not starting in the games... Regards.
