Yes, it's true that Singapore is building a new Casino(1st one in our country) which will be ready by 2010 or so, but that's none of my business, because I've always hated gambling and want nothing to do with it. There's going to be a surge in prostitution, illegal money lending and all; seems like the beginning of the end for this once-honest and clean country. :rolleyes:Quote:

That's better than me; I've none. But then, does one really need a UPS, unless you're living in a warring country or you're running a NASA space program etc... :rolleyes::cool:Quote:

It's supposed to be a little secret between Xeon and Xeon, pal. Shhhh.....:D
Good day!

Anyway, that is not true in Singapore. Singapore authors paid the local publishers to get their books published, most local books suffered poor readership, according to a newspaper article.Quote:

Why are localizing a talent like Xeon? ;) What is there to restrict him from going global. ;)Quote:

Nah.....both wrong! :cool:Quote:

While I enjoy writing, I find the art too technical. And when I hear Tolkien, I feel like puking. Thus, no. I'll never write as a profession. :)
Regarding local(Singaporean) publishing, it's not just this country. It's the world in general. There's a zillion great and talented authors out there acorss the seven continents and only 1 - 10 of them ever managed to get an agent to send their books to the publishing houses, and even then, only 1 - 2 of them will make it through the editor.
On the other hand, in Singapore, unless one is writing exclusively for Singaporean audiences, there's no need to go to a Singaporean publisher. One might as well crawl through my legs instead. It's wiser to send the book to foreign presses like those new, smaller publishing start-ups in America. :)
Anyway, Singapore is only good for the airline, the government and the peace/safety. Pretty much everything else from A to Z sucks giga-time.
Good day,
Xeon. :cool::D
Happy birthday fruitcake. The canning, it's next!!!
