Look CPU....some of your comments not only are not realted to the C++ in this forum but also not realted to any other language; instead of blaming here you can send private message to me if you are worry about the relavancy to the thread.

also my comment is a little about comparsion between C++ and C# to give some clue to the OP....if you see anything technically that i have mentioned incorrectly then come and correct me instead of just blaming me. or ask the site admin to add to the policy of the site any comparison between language is prohibited or pointing to a language in just a sentnce is prohibited in another language forum.

BTW i have not compare C++ with Milky Way Galaxy i have pointed to C# both of them are in familiy.

please search forums and you will see more off-topic discussion in them than i have done here.

I think that compare two languages is not a bad thing to do in the forum. In my case, I came from Java. It is impossible to get rid of Java completely from my mind and just think C++ just as C++. With comparison, I can know the difference which will help me learn C++ and use it correctly. just 2 cents from me.

I am not sure what you are referring to..looking back over my responses in this thread, I think thay are all reasonable.

My experience has been different over the past 17+ years of developing C++ applications, with 20%-30% having implementations and 70%-80% NOT having implementations.

I then went on to explain the reasoning (applicable to any reader of this thread). I even know of one client [Fortune 500 firm] that requires:

1) A non-abstract class may NOT be inherited.
2) All virtual methods in abstract classes MUST be abstract, with explicit resolution in the leaf class.

On the C# "issue" I simply questioned WHY it was being brought up (I did not say that it shouldn't be, nor that it was inappropriate). I simply did not see why that applied to the original question. You were the one who then posted:

Again this does not have anything to do with the topic. Nor is there ANY difference between a "C" program and a "C++" program as the former is compatible with the latter, so that (nearly) any "C" technique can be used in a C++ program.

ps: Regarding Private vs. Thread posting, you could have sent your last post via PM, and I would have also responded privately, but since you posted on the forum I believed it was correct to publicly respond.

so why in C# this possibility is 0!!!!

for e.g. i declare and abstact method like MathDoOPeration in abstract Math class.

and i inherit a Plus class from it and then implement the MathDoOPeration for adding the number; it is obvoius in this case that it is not necessary that you implement MathDoOPeration in the base abstarct class and if you want do so it is not possible in C# even but possible in c++ so my question is that why something that comes to play (as you claim) in 20-30% of the situations then that feature was removed from C#.

My statement was that 20%-30% of the pure (ie having an =0 qualifier) virtual methods in C++ have implementations in the designs I have been involved with. I also pointed out two alternative C++ implementation patterhs for handling common functionallity across the class hierarchy (of which one of these is direclty applicable to C#)
