Database is not being Updated - Only the Datatable is

My friends have also got the same problem. This is an assignment we have got, but without this we cannot go far. I have tried everything, I spent about 3/4 whole days to find a solution - browsing for almost anything that relates to the key words of the issue at hand, but I still have nothing. :( :( :( :(
