Is this another question from Stroustrup's textbook? All your posts so far just ask us to answer his textbook questions.

Here is a question for you -- are you going to try and answer all of the question in his textbook, or are you going to actually write a C++ program that does something useful?

If your goal is to write C++ programs, then you need much more than a general textbook. You need to learn how to write programs, not just spend time trying to answer every esoteric question in Stroustrup's textbook.
