I'm 5'8"(50m+34m+34m+20m+40m+....) ...can i still grow even I was 26years old(young i prefered :D)..

/That's from bottom up measuring..i wonder if i measure it from head to toe...and some other part of my body measurings are....:D

Interesting what will be the next thread what another part of the body we will measure. Nut anyway I can`t stand far from this I am 179cm long. I don`t know how much it will be in Inches :D

I am 173 cm. :)

In India, we can see a vast variance in average height. Kashmiris, Punjabis are usually taller. People from mountains (like me) are usually shortest. So, I can say that I am a taller than most of my folks. :cool:

If I were used as a cantilever beam and I were a having uniform linear mass density M kg/m, then the amount of bending moment that I would be creating on the support would be - 1.445 Mg (N-m), where g is the acceleration due to gravity. :D [N-m - newton metre - used SI units for all]

I guess that it is easier to put a barometer on the top of a head than to be used as a cantilever :D

:D ...by the way I was even thinking of making myself a chain and then calculating the time in which all of the chain would have fallen down to the ground but that would probably involve some complex mechanics and calculus (had done before college though) and I have lost touch of those, so left it. :D

/would you believe if I say that I was 1.5m when I was 18 years old and 1.7m 3 years later.. its an increase of 0.2 m in 3 years... :D

What you call "non-metric" system, is actually called "imperial system" because it was used in the British empire. Of course, the French wanted something different than what the British were using, so they created the metric system.

I know about the emperial system...but I never know French who created the metric system...I thought, it was made by physicist to make full use of exponents term...

but the metric system is more efficient I think...it's easy to use...imagine how would you convert from one measurement to another with a simple plcement of decimal point compared to imperial system...
and in precision tools, the tolerence is so small and it's hard to measure in imperial system...
