Accentuate the beauty... Agreed. But, I dont think its for men's sake (and my statement was in that context).

It's for improving one's social standing.

yes it does not neccessarily be for men's sake. But to feel good about yourself and be confident. And if your confident on how you look , the rest goes, and maybe just maybe improve social standing.

But I've seen a lot of women who wears a lot of jewelry and they don't look fabulous at all, they look like a walking pawnshop :D

There is a slight difference... For example: A car makes a purposeful vehicle of transport. It takes one from point A to point B. In addition, it may or may not be a statement of social standing.

So, purpose came first... And the rest followed.

...In that sense a car is not an accessory... But, jewelry is considered one - universally.

However, one might debate men being interested in jewelry... What with famous rap artists, etc wearing tons of metal on them... :D

well you just said it :D if it was just a purposeful mode of transport.... y do ppl keep changing cars to better ones. powerful ones , stylis ones.... :confused: mind you its done wen the older one is still in workin condition ??? and many a times ppl go for more costiler ones his friend or neighbour has one ( or a matter of fact to show off ) social standng :D :thumb: ... its not just about cars...there are many other things in the ist as similar :D ;)

That is correct... People go for beautiful cars, a second car, etc. But, cars in general are not accessories.

Its good you've added the word "most" before "women" this time. For if you put "women" only.. I would have reacted again. :p That's my point actually, women wear jewelry for a lot of different reasons. It is also a case to case basis. One woman might wear jewelry mostly for what you're saying, but its not the same for others.

What I stated was a general trend. And, if you can - please elicit the reasons why another woman might wear jewelry, and you will see that at the end of the day it all boils down to being more attractive (first to one's own self and than to others), and hence improving one's own standing amongst peers (first in one's own eyes and then in the eyes of another - the man). ;)

sometimes, women will raise her desire/interest/hope/dream/etc on unexpected moment with unserious way of talking...don't ask me how do I know this, I'm a girl so I just knew it...so if you remember anything like that, just surprise her with that...

let say, she said she really love to have a kitten, find a kitten and wrap it in a small box then give her the present...or you recall that she once said she wants to be a bird, go to a street artist, ask him to draw a potrait of her with wings flying on the cloud...or maybe her secret ambition is to be a bankrobber, then find her a toy gun...or she once said she want to have a children, then I have no comment on that:D...

and just follow the rule of toes...be spontanious...don't have to think like a maniac what you should give her...let say, you walking down the sidewalk and you saw a cute bangle, then it reminds you she's a cute girl, just give her the bangle...or while having a drink with your mates and a topic of wall clock came out, suddenly you think it will be a perfect thing to give her that, so what are you waiting for?....just find the darn wall clock for her:D...

besides, with spotanious present, you can tell her the story behind that...you can say like: "do you remember you once said you want to be a hair dresser?...so while browsing a pr0n site, this hair dryer came to my mind"...
or : "2 days ago, I was so *hic*.. drunk *hic*... I hit a cow *hic*...then I bla bla bla...*hic..hic*..here's the cow's bell as a present *hic*"...
