Deniz 3 - 1 Ideru

That was a fantastic comeback by Australia after a Japanese goal which was a dubious decision by the ref.Quote:

That game was played in 35 degrees Celcius.
Pretty hot if you ask me.
35 is the normal temprature here at my place...and it's hot...I can drink my own sweats after 2 hours under the sun here..
Yes, amazing come back from Australia. Didn't see the match. Actually it's impossible to see the matches that start at 15:00 German time (16:00 Romanian time), since I'm at the office then. :sick:Quote:

Itally and Ghana was a really enternaining game, but the guys from Ghana have to improve their shots if they want to have a chance at this World Cup.
Looking forward to see Brazil tonigh.
Yup see Brasil tonight, they play against my contry. uh. :( bad...
on officiall FIFA world cup page they have live video streaming so maybe you can watch in office hehe ;) I can't, stupid admin has closed all ports accept 80 grrr :(Quote:

I liked the way Aussies played and I also liked the way Czechs won the match against USA. It was really a nice game.
The guys from Ghana were too ambitious I guess.
Lets see what Brazilians do today.
USA had a bad game against a REALLY good team which was OK, but the coach came out and started pointing fingers. What's wrong with that dude? Win or loss, you don't point fingers. I'm more mad at the coach than the team, but I think they still have a chance to advance.
What was Japan thinking? They could have got all 11 guys back to defend yet they ley the Aussie scored 3 goals at the last 10 mins or so.
I'd like an Aussie chick now instead of English :-)
After seeing Brazil tonigh I'm sure they won't even reach the final. In my opinion, they were clearly a dissapointment. Except for Kaka, the others were anythere else, but on the pitch. Ronaldihno was barely visible, Ronaldo had a single shot, etc. etc. etc. I would say they were very lucky with the win, due to a great shot from Kaka.
But what happened to the French? I wasn't able to watch the match, but I was really surprized to hear they ended 0 - 0. ;)
I vote for Australia, my country!
Hey mate, where are you Australian ? I see you vote for it too.
I voted Australia :thumb: :thumb:
I wish Norway was there to teach them a lesson...what've been got into the samba?...Quote:

anyway Korean's attack was improved when Ahn Joo Huan(waht the spelling again? :o ) was brought in I guess...a fairly good match :thumb: ..
Brazilians were not at all impressive. It seemed as if they are the not the team that will win the world-cup. Their defence was really poor.
I am a little bit disappointed by the images. Cameras have been placed so high in the stadiums that the players are like miniature toys, like if they were filmed from a satellite. Sometimes a camera, near the ground, shows a closer view, but then, only the head and arms of the players are shown, as if the feet had no importance, as if this was a game of baskeball. There is almost no intermediate views with a few full-length players. Besides, there some strange shadows in some stadiums.
Otherwise, France did not play very well, unfortunately, but maybe they will be better later.
Spain 4 - 0 Ukraine
Spain is playing too well. They will easily win all of their matches, even in the finale against ... probably Ecuador.
that is normal for a big stadium like that...and it's ok for me...and the benefit, we can have a good view of moves/through-pass/run/etc...Quote:

kudos to spain :thumb:..good game with a good result...Ecuador to the final, urm...hardly to say:D...but maybe ...I didn't really know this Ecuador team...Quote:

last night games are all good games...even Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia :thumb:...an entertaining game I must say....especially the 2nd half...well, Germany vs poland is another...with some dissapointing moves though....
Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia was the most exciting game till now. And another game bought disappointment for Poland. I was thinking that the captain was not playing responsibily after getting first Yellow Card.
But let's tbe honest: the Germans were very lucky. It was this close to be a dissappointing game for them.Quote:

I'm looking forward to see England against T&T this evening.
You guys must be crazy counting Brazil out after that one game. They did
a much better job than England did in their first game and against a much better team.
I hope Messi is not hurt to badly. That would probably kill Argentina's chance.
I have to say, all the teams I have seen play have played respectably, except the USA.
We are not counting Brazil out, its just that the way they performed in their opening game was not at all impressive.
I agree with Cilu that Germans were lucky to get the last minute goal. But somehow I feel bad for Poland.
Yes, except for the Czechs, all the favorites didn't played very well in the first round. But if they want to win the cup they have to spare their efforts and play enough just to win. There are 7 matches to play to win the final. And I think that could be seen in all teams game, especially at those that played at 15:00 CET on a hot weather.
I would like to see Messi at work (epsecially because he's in my fantastic team :D), and Rooney also.
I didn't say Brazil is out of chances, but I think they will be the victim of too much attention this year, and they will let many people dissapointed.
Well, after the first round, I would say Ukraine was the most dissapointing team, not USA. Frankly I did not expect much from USA, but I did from Ukraine. They have several amazing players and they did not leave up to their fame at all.
Let's see what the second round brings.
yup! Messi is one of the many to be paid attention to...he's a promising lad IMO...will Rooney play tonight?...
well, I didn't expect Germany to score too many goal in a match...they played long-ball after all....and Poland looked like they just wanted a draw last night and defend themselves as much as they can...maybe it's a bit of luck but that's fottball for us...
lets make some predictions...
Ecuador 3 - 1 Costa Rica
England 2 - 1 Trinidad (or maybe Trinidad can make it 1-1:D) EDIT: or 0-1:D
Sweden 0 - 2 Paraguay
No. I really don't think T&T can score against England, but I don't expect too many goals from England either, perhaps a 2 - 0. OTOH, I think Sweden will win this time against Paraguay.
I just happened to look at our polls, it seems England is on Top right now with 7 votes with Brazil having 6 Votes.
I think England will win the game by 1 or 2 (maximum) goals. Probably Ecuador will also win today (Just for Ovidui's sake, he has voted for Ecuador).
Out of the popular teams, quite right that Brazil didn't live up to their name, Germay's attack seemed quite good in the first game but the defence was not good as two goals were scored against them. They were lucky to get a last minute goal in their second game, France was also not up to its mark, expected more goals from them, I missed Argentina's first game but they were also not up to the mark, Italy seemed ok. England's first game was also a marginal win, Erickson's mentality seemed dominant in the game. Holland also had a marginal win with Roben's one goal.
After the first round of games I find Spain and Czech Rep. to be quite impressing.
Two asain teams have come up as winners South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Hope they both make it to the last 16.
I have two :thumb: :thumb: for T&T and two :thumbd: :thumbd: for England, despite the late 2 goals. This kind of game won't get them even to the quarter finals. Lampard, Gerard simply weren't there. Without Lennon they would have been lost. He brought a new meaning to their game tonight.
I don't know what Eriksson is thinking, well.. ok, he's not thinking... :o England was very lucky today. Though it seems I was right about the score. ;)
viva la Ecuador...at this rate, if they at least draw with Germany, they'll be at the top of group A...which means, England will be sent home before they can even make it to quater final:D...
I was hoping Trinidad score a goal...England needs to be taught a lesson:D:D...so that they'll work harder thus bring a good game to watch like everybody expected...
congrats to Swedish too...
todays matches...Argentina 2 - 0 Serbia & Montenegro
Holland 3 - 2 Ivory Coast(I want a high-scoring game:D)...
Mexico 1 - 0 Angola
I'm thinking about watching the Australia vs Brazil game but it is at 2:00AM in the morning.
Maybe the boss will give me the day off, as our major newspapers are calling for:

:D
What was the Enlish team thinking yesterday? I'll add one more :thumbd: to Cilu's two :thumbd: :thumbd:.
They were thinking they could win with no problem, and did not concetrate on the game. Their victory was lucky.Quote:

Yes, Angertina went nuts. What the hack happened with the Serbs?
I did expect much more from the Mexicans also.
Wow! What a day! ;) Ghana defeated the Czech Republic in a categoric way. Actaully they had so many chances to score and miss them. Even 4 - 0 would have been a fair score. But Petr Cech proved he's probably the best goalkeeper in the world. ;)
While I expected a good game from Ghana, I though USA was going to lose at least 3 goals away. But what a match! Despite playing 9 against 10 (after 3 red books on both sides) they managed to draw 1 - 1 with Itally and keep their (very low) chances to progress to the next stage. Well done, USA! :thumb:
Now, I hope the Check Rep. will beat Itally, so that if Ghana wins against USA (as I expect), Itally will go home. ;) Remains to be seen.
What the heck was wrong with that ****** referee? I could understand the red card for the Italian, but the two for USA were bad calls. It was a great game, but the referee ruined it for both teams. He made so many bad calls on both teams.Quote:

Agree. Quite a few calls were bad. However, looking at the way Italy played, they weren't simply couldn't penetrate US defence. What was wrong with Italy today ?Quote:

Well, unfortunatelly, I saw only the last 30 minutes because we had two black outs and then the TV signal was lost. So, I cannot comment on that. But I can say there were so many mistakes made by referees at this World Cup. ;)Quote:

the red card for Rossi is ok...the first red card for the American is not needed I guess...it should be a yellow card...it's a late tackle and it's not from behind...the 2nd red card for American is understandable....it's his 2nd yellow card which he deserved IMO...
at least, the (narrow) gate is still open for USA for the Round of 16...
at last! Ghana managed to resolved their finishing problem which they lack against Italy...they kept Petr Chech busy...
today's matches:
Togo 1 - 1 Swiss
Spain 2 - 0 Tunisia
Saudi Arabia 2 - 1 Ukraine (hope they(SA) playy like their last match)..
Well, Brazil didn't impress again. They were razzed several times for their game. ;) I really like the way Australia played. I think they have big chances to perform well against Croatia and make it to the next round.
As for France, it's like 2002 all over again. Except that now they managed to score a goal. Who knows, perhaps Togo could take the place of Senegal. ;)
Today, I think Ukraine will win against Saudi Arabia. They have to. 2 - 1 for Ukraine.
Deniz must be proud for his Socceroos team as they managed to make Brazillians work hard for their goals...at least, Brazil was more impressive than England:D...
maybe history will reapeat itself for France to be sent home early...but I think they'll managed to get to the round of 16 this year......
if Saudi Arabia play like they played agaisnt Tunisia, I'll not shock they can beat Ukranian...even after Shevchenko had vowed to pull his better performance tonight...hmmm....wanna bet, Cilu?:D...
Yeah, I put 3 beers on Ukraine. :D
deal!...just make ready the 3 beers:D...Saudi Arabia will make you loose:D...
is anyone know any internet-voodooo whicthdoctor?...I have to contact them:D...
So, should I send you my mailing address for those 3 beers? ;)
I bet on Togo scoring one goal and they failed me. ;)
OK. I was wrong. I admit. England is by no means a team able to win this world cup. They should be happy if they make it to the quarter finals. The match today against Sweden, well, I think the score wasn't fair at all. Sweden should have won by at least 2 goals. I just can't wait to see that moron, SGE, out of England's bench.
Who voted for Ecuador ?
Me .Quote:
