Good Show. I don't think missing anything would matter to Hiro anyways. He could always just go back in time again...
I'll speculate that the Hiro story line is going to show why it isn't good for him to just go back in time and change things. There has to be a "cost" or a risk that makes it something he should only do in a very limited fashion.Quote:

Brad!
Don't get me wrong.. I havent seen the series but it looks like one for children from what you all have posted... ;)
Sometimes it is good to take a child's view and not look at the world so seriously. In that regard, I'm fine with your implication.... ;)Quote:

I bet next time they match up it'll be good.
I really think they will play out hiro's story a lot next episode to show why you cannot change the past or the cost of changing the past.
Yeah... I know.. that can be true.. but I haven't seen it.. and all you people are discussing about are powers! :DQuote:

Give us some more spice! That is all I ask! :) ;) :D
I am subscribed to this thread and am really reading all the posts here.. but don't ask me any questions about Hiro or Hero (I am confused and percieve them to be two different guys) or the series until now. :)
Agreed, Sabin...
Last night's episode did a good job filling in a lot of holes in the background stories. It makes total sense why Peter's brother doesn't want to fly, the cheerleader's dad's motives are more defined (although there are lots of questions around him), we know who Sylar is and what he is doing now, and we get a little bit of a background on Jessica/Nikki's character. We also got what we speculated -- information on why Hiro won't just blink around time and try to fix things. All-in-all a pretty good episode.
It seems that Micah and Sylar have very similar powers. It will be interesting t osee if it comes down to Micah to fix things with Sylar.... :D
Brad!
Last nights episode was good.
I have a lot of questions about Niki though. Her power just seems odd, only being able to channel her sister. I hope they clear it up a bit like they did with Hiro.
I still am curious about Claire's dad a lot though. It showed him with 'The cleaner' even before he went to see Mohinders' father. So he must have already knew about the "heroes".
Next week will be good.
How did Claire's dad and "The Cleaner" end up with the girl that can push thoughts? There seemed to be a gap there....Quote:

Last week's episode was Chapter 12, "Godsend". That means tonight should be chapter 13.Quote:

Secondarily, we don't really know who Claire's dad is working for -- but we know he is reporting to someone. As such, the Cleaner could be working for this boss person and be there to keep Claire's dad "in check". The real twist would be that the Cleaner works for Linderman (sp).....
The bigger question is -- why a paper factory for a cover plant? What is that tie?
Brad!
This may be correct. Maybe Linderman is their boss and it may not be a coincidence that almost all of them have connections to Linderman.Quote:

Did anyone notice the plate number on Hiro's dad's car?

Brad!
It was NCC-1701... familiar? It's commonly known as the Federation starship USS Enterprise :D
About that phrase, I think he is refering to one's old self. He must be a new man in order to control his powers. At least that's what I think :D
Peter is starting to get scary powerful!
This weeks episode was good.
I think Peter is much more powerful than Sylar. He doesn't need to kill in order to get other powers, he just needs to be close to them. And best of all, he already has the cheerleader's power. This can be quite useful when facing Sylar.
I agree that this last week's episode was good. The random killing of people is interesting, although I'm not sure why it is always the girls.....
Brad!
What do you mean by random killings? Did you mean Sylar's killings? Or the shooting of Peter's girl? (I forgot her name :D )Quote:

Well Peter did have a premonition that he is the one exploding. This week episode "The Unexpected" was really great.. I wonder if Mohinder already noticed that it was Sylar he is with.. Sylar is really cunning..
Oh yeah it's Simone. :DQuote:

Sylar's weakness seems to be his greed to take powers. Some powers, however, have to be adjusted to. I think it is one thing to undersand how a power works, it is another to be able to live with it. He was able to do the 'melting' completely (whereas the original guy wasn't). I think with things like 'super hearing' however, it isn't just about how it works, but learning to live with everything being loud. That didn't seem to be a type of power that could be 'turned off'Quote:

Both. Although I guess I shouldn't say "always".Quote:

(At least this is my theory and I'm sticking with it..... for now ;) )
Brad!
I think that he just needs to know how things work in order to copy it. Just like the watch he was trying to fix for a long time, once he knew how the clock ticks he has no trouble fixing it then. So if he just know how the others have their power (may have to do with their DNA structure or chromosome mutations) then he can copy it (i.e. change his DNA or chromosomes to match theirs). Anyway that's what I just thought. :)Quote:

Well Heroes has ended till April!!!
I hope Peter can take care of Sylar.
WARNING: spoilers
 The most awaited encounter between Sylar and Peter just happened.
Can't wait to see the next episode. :thumb: :D
(I wonder what will happen if Sylar can get Peter's powers... )
I don't think there is anyway Sylar will get Peters powers.
Peter has become to powerful... he was just caught be surprise
It's going to be a brawl
But what about Isaac's painting? Was it not Peter with his head "opened"?:eek:Quote:

I'm in complete agreement, not only that Peter has come into contact with Sylar which means peter can now use all of the powers that Sylar has. Peter will be able to fight his way out of this battle for sure. He can regenerate so there is no problem there and he also has other powers to help him like telekinesis and Ted's nuclear ability.Quote:

I'm really looking forward to the next episode!
Remember - Claire was killed once.... Same could happen to Peter.
Also - As far as someone else being in the room... that would be a bit lame since Silar has super hearing. While being invisible is nice, it doesn't make one silent. Thus, Silar should/could have heard them. He should/could know who is around by hearing their hearts beat..... :)
If you think about it could still be possible, don't forget that Claude did in fact work for the 'Company' along with Mr. Bennet so who knows what he has learnt (training wise).
As for the super hearing, while this is still true, Sylar may have been preoccupied with Mohinder to even realise that someone was in the room and Sylar has not learnt how to control that ability yet, as far as we know (the tune fork implies this fact), and I am not sure that even Sylar can pin point 1 heart beat out of two others, plus the screaming that we heard from Peter. Don’t forget that Sylar is also busy cutting into Peter’s head whilst pinning Mohinder to the ceiling, I don’t think he will be able to concentrate, or even think of, listening for intruders. As for an explanation as to how Claude could possibly get into the room, he may have entered with Peter.
Logically, something has to happen to save Peter (he is a main character after all), whether it be Peter fights back or someone stops Sylar. If Sylar removes Peters brain then there is no way that Peter can recover from this since the Heroes need their brains to use their abilities, hence the IV (Intravenous) chemical working on Sylar.
My bad. The painting wasn't Peter at all, instead it was Isaac himself :D (read it in wikipedia)
I think Peter hasn't acquired Ted's ability yet, or has he? If so, when did they come close to each other?Quote:

He has been around Silar, so I'd assume he could get any abilities that Silar has. That would include Ted's. :)Quote:

Masi Oka who act as Hiro Nakamura in Heroes, is also a programmer in real life, according to wikipedia.
In addition to his work on the show, he continues to work at ILM up to three days a week as a Research and Development Technical Director, writing programs that create special effects.
I think Sylar still doesn't have Ted's ability though. :rolleyes:Quote:

I have yet to watch this show. I heard it was worth checking out, but I'm always watching something else at the same time.
I saw the preview for the "last 9 chapters" (don't quote the number) and the way it sounded, it sounds as if the show is coming to an end. Each week there is a new chapter? A new "person" to save each chapter? I'm sure with all the buzz about this show, the commerical only means the season is coming to an end, but I thought I still ask around.
Last 9 chapters == season finale || Last 9 chapters == series finale ?
That is how it looks. If you follow the story line, there should be a definitive end to the story...Quote:
Last 9 chapters == series finale
The "universe" will continue, so there could be another "series" with the same premise....
The preview did say "Last 5 chapter". It could be that they wrap up this story line with 23 episodes -- which is a standard season. I could, however, see then doing a 'second book' that has 23 chapters as well with a new story line with the same characters. Kind of like the series 24 where each season is a day. In this series each season could be a book with chapters :). I'm speculating, but the show seems to behighly rated so I don't see it ending after just one season.
Brad!
Anyone seen episode 19?
It's a very exciting episode. Can't wait for 20 :D
Have any ideas what power Peter's mom have? Guesses?
Good show. Glad I taped it. I'm going to watch it again!
It was a good show and i was shocked to see that linderman had powers too lol. I can't wait for episode 20 :D.
Brad - OK, maybe you were right, there wasn't anyone else in the room after all :D
