Yep, and enjoy the next year.
Let's hope it will be good for all of us. :)
Merry christmas and happy new year to all.
Good luck Sonu. Unfortunately, I cannot help you.
Hey guys.
I'm curious about what do you do during the first hours of the new year.
In my country the most of the young people usually drink all night until their liver can't work more.
Other people waste the night watching horrendous special TV programs, where the 50% of time the people is applauding.
What do you do?
I think I sleep. Well, of course, after having kissed all the friends present with me.
But then I go to bed 'cause midnight is late, and I'm usually tired.
Alone or with any of the friends you kissed before? :D :D ;)Quote:

Its been nearly one year since this thread is running. Really nice to see that. I remember the time in which nobody was taking a look at the Chit/Chat forum.

And we did not make a party for this anniversary?? what a shame!!
Alright ladies and gents... since it's New Year's, you have to make the following resolution. We all have to promise to be here on August 11th 2004 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of us missing the one-year anniversary of this thread (or, if you prefer, the two-year anniversary of this thread ;)).
Well, when I signed up, the chit-chat forum was only this thread ;)Quote:

Happy holidays everyone ;)
11th of August... it sounds like a sun eclipse.
Well I could be online, unless I'm on holidays...

Today is Winter Solstice, an important day for the Chinese.:D
Quoted From ClearHarmony.Net-
"In ancient China, the Winter Solstice was a very important festival, which has been dated back to over two thousand years ago. From the time of the Yin Dynasty, and through the Zhou and Qin Dynasties, the Winter Solstice was regarded as the first day of the New Year. In the Han dynasty, the Winter Solstice was referred to as the ~{!0~}Winter Festival.~{!1~} Government officers would hold a ceremony called the ~{!0~}Winter Celebration,~{!1~} which was considered an official holiday. The Post Hanshu wrote, ~{!0~}At the Winter Solstice, people calm down and relax. Government offices are closed and officers are off from work. They will choose a good time to look back on themselves.~{!1~} On that day everyone from royal families to government officers stopped working and the army stood down. On the borders all gates were closed, and businesses were closed. Family and friends exchanged good food, and visited each other. Everyone spent the day in a relaxed and happy manner. After the Song dynasty, the Winter Solstice became a day for remembering ancestors, on which people would salute their parents and other elderly people, and the emperor would go to the suburb and hold a big ceremony to worship the heavens. The Winter Solstice was once referred as the ~{!0~}Quasi New Year~{!1~}. In the book Records of Qingjia, it read, ~{!0~}Winter Solstice was as important as the New Year~{!1~}, and it was called ~{!0~}Winter Solstice Festival~{!1~}. This showed how important Winter Solstice was to ancient people. People believed that the Winter Solstice was the natural result of interactions between Yin and Yang, and it was a good blessing from heaven."
happy new year to all you goobers :)
