Hi!!
It's amazing! It's been years since the last time I visited code guru, and when I decided to have a look at the general forum I couldn't imagine I was going to find this thread still alive. I can't believe I saw it appear 2 years ago... I'm getting old.
As for me, I'm quite fine, I was not near Madrid attacks but as everyone in the city I had some very bad days at that time. Now I'm enjoying my first visit to the USA, during a two weeks training school paid by my company.
I must say I'm having such a good time, meeting people from all over the world and visiting the beautiful Chicago city during the weekend. But my ideas about the USA and their system still remain. We were treated as terrorists in the airport, in almost a fascist way. I think the way you're treated in arriving this country is obviously against people rights and respect. On the other hand, after the first day I've decided to switch off my tv and spend my time with my friends in here. The tv news seemed too manipulated for me.
So, let's hope next time I check this forum the "Where are we from?" thread is still alive. It's very nice to see that everyone is still around. By the way, where are Xeon and Irona?
Best regards,
Ana

Seems like he has forgotten how to program and instead of eurlz also likes women. Some things change in two years.
Well at least Simon and Mick are fighting nice. :) I feel like I'm on the verge of an amazing metaphor here but it evades me... :(

Fighting like the US Army uninvited at a wedding party?
Fighting like the Israeli army at unarmed protesters and schoolchildren?
Some amazing things are going on indeed.
Fighting like Simon and Mick... it's a glove ;).Quote:

The US Army at a wedding? Where did you get that one?
Oh well...... That's Simon for you
Oh no, that's just some kind of a hidden dream of being a moderator... to rule the world, U know ;)Quote:
O sure, a dead forum is what we all like. Btw, your English seems to have improved a lot since the last time I was really around. Congratulations.
Btw, I'm glad to see U here again.. oh and thanks for congratulations.
Yep, something never changes. Btw, people like to have something stable in their life. They called that traditions.Quote:

Not been watching the news lately, US Army killed 40 at a wedding in Iraq. The victims are thrilled how free they are of worldly concerns now.Quote:

I refuse to read the news or watch it. The only thing that's shown there is death, destruction, etc. I'm surprised how you can watch it without getting REALLY REALLY depressedQuote:

Your tipical headlines
"A Suicide Bomber Killed <X number of people> in Iraq/Israel/Saudi Arabia, Most of the dead are women and children...."
"A US attack plane/tank/infantry/artillery Shells a Local Village, Many Dead and Injured...."
"The economy in <String for some random country> Has Taken Again a Turn for the Worse, Hundreds of Thousands Unemployed...."
"Inflation Has Spiked it's Highest Today Since the Great Depression....."
and on and on and on.....
Call me close minded if you want, but I'm just trying to preserve my sanity, I find it difficult to deal with all of the negative garbage in the world, which surprises me that you can actually do that over and over again.
Also, where are the positive things in this life, how about some headlines that actually say something positive(I know  what a thought to actually think about, in today's media that's almost impossible). If there was something more positive, I might just actually go to cnn.com or nytimes.com, but the only thing that I see is just death/poverty/destruction and I can't take that for long.
As the saying goes the media brings "Doom and Gloom", maybe not Doom, but Gloom, definitely......
I'm finished with my rant about the media :D :D :D
Make cynical jokes and black humor. :DQuote:

I think after I graduate and get my diplomas for higher education, I'll move to Montana or somewhere else out west, just to get away from the garbage that happens around the world.
What about an island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ? :p :D
