Re: Surf without ads! (Double Edged Sword)
boy, the ad execs, and other consumeristic peoples have brainwashed you.
Ads ADD to the bandwidth, of which there would be less wasted if there weren't so many frickin' ads !!!I have NEVER gone out, and bought ANYTHING because I saw it in an advert. In fact, I tend to avoid stuff in ads.
Whomever created the new "codejock", etc., please post the URL here
I take it that the falloff in postings in this Q&A forum is the sign that the site is just about dead as far as previous users go. I'm getting concerned that I've missed someone posting the new URL for the replacement "codejock", or whatever. Frankly, this site is now SO SLOW that I can't waste the time searching every posting for the URL (or anything else!) in case the author forgot to specify a new title in the posting.
Could someone please post the URL here so I can delete this bookmark? Thanks!

CodeJock is not a replacement for CodeGuru. It's an excellent collection of UI classes created by Kirk Stowell. CodeJock can be found at http://codejock.com.

Re: Add your...Sucks now.
Sucks. This single page is alomst 200k, biggest example of www bloatware I have seen in a long time. Lots of ads are not a problem but at least shrink this page down. Someone please take a look at the HTML generated by this machine and ask yerself what all the alt="*" are for? Anyone using Lynx here? Anyone? Thought not.
Still, now that Zafir is 12 super-big ones better of I guess his HTML hacking days are over -mine would be hehe.
Happy hunning Zafir...
Re: Add your comment about the new look and feel of CodeGuru
Fonts are too big. List of articles in each sub categary is hard to read because what should have fit in one line is not broken into two. I have to scroll too much for what really is a short list. Please, this is a site for developers, should set a good example of good user interface.
Re: What a horrible mistake
I agree... I hate this place now and don't plan on returning. This sucks!

Pity for millionaire Zafir? Is a shareholder of EarthWeb speaking?
You say it. We need to have pity for millionaire Zafir. SHOW THE CODE. - Are you shareholder of EarthWeb?
No new content for the last 2 weeks
Zafir,
If there isn't some new content, it won't matter how much time you spend on the site.....people will wander off in boredom.......
waaa waaa Re: What a horrible mistake
<said with big tears coming down your face and trembling lip> bbbbbb bbbbbbb baaaaa waaa haaaaa I'm tttttaking my code and I I I I'm ggg gg ggg going home.
I tell ya some of you "programmers" are really showing your true colors here. This should be a question on an application for a job
A large repository of code available on the web is bought up by a larger company. You then ...
A. Look for any reason how this could effect you in any way negatively and cry like a little baby and refuse to use that code and increase your project times because you have to write everything or at least figure everything out by yourself.
B. Look at what the major majority is doing and join them
C. Realize that as long as the code is still there and accessable its still a valuable resource and continue to use it.
Wave, speed, copyright, and the rest ...
You do not listen to the voices in this newsgroup or you are not allowed to!
People are just disappointed (wave, speed, ...) and afraid of looking to the copyrighted source code.
You should maybe state on the home page that: "Learn from the source
code on this site and do not afraid to use it in your own source
code."
Maybe make two sections, one with free code and other one with heavily
loaded $'s.
Thanks!
