How about a huge electromagnet :).

The only guaranteed method to get rid of the data on your Hard Disk forever is to demagnetize the Hard Disk.
Make/buy a demagnetization device and attach it to your hard disk and then make a program that triggers the device when a certain condition is satisfied.
