How dare you, Simon! U had better watch out, cos' Gabriel pays me US$3000 every week as protection fees, so be careful.
Daddy Xeon is watching you real hard.:cool::cool::cool:
Congratulations. Is the little monster you spawned a boy or a ****? :D :p And shouldn't you be in your bed at this time? :rolleyes:Quote:

Are you talking about me in this thread, in another thread are or you confusing me with someone else (this easily happens I know)? I have posted a nearly endless post in another thread, in that post there were several links to searches and other posts, but not over here. What exactly are you referring to? See how dumb I am? I don't know what you are talking about. Now go first vote for me in the "Dumbest codeguru" poll and come back to answer here last. ;)Quote:

Can someone tell me (possibly Gabe) what the heck's wrong with disclaimers?
The opinion expressed here is soley the opinion of Solarflare. It doesn't reflect the opinion of unmanagement. It won't be moved to the gross grilled cheese forum yet.Quote:

It really is a pain to try and read through this thread and pick up where I left off; Is there a way I can jump straight any page (for instance, page 50) without having to resort to moving througha maximum of two pages at a time? :confused:Quote:

'Go to first unread post' won't work; Iv'e gone past that point, and it won't take me to where I am currently reading.
Yes, I'm glad you asked! (Actually I couldn't care less, but you don't need to know that) Here's what to do. Go to page 2. You will see the URL is:Quote:

http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204164&perpage=15&pagenumber=2
Now, replace the last number so that it reads:
http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204164&perpage=15&pagenumber=50
Or something of that sort. Now you can go to any page at all! Also, you can change the number posts per page using this method.
I used 15 posts per page in the example because I see that's what you use.
Thank you, Solarflare!
I just knew there was some easy way to do it!! :D
Now, if you'd like to know how to travel in time, that's gonna cost ya.:rolleyes:Quote:

Yes, sorry, I mean "I've come to General Discussion and see a bunch of posts by Simon666, one of them was huge and I decided to NOT reply to this thread since the first topic have been lost in the dark, and since the WAYFP thread still existing, and since Simon posted about that topic...", it was exactly the post you said, but since you're talking about the same topic on more than one thread... oh well anyway, I don't think your dumb Simon, and I'll not vote in the poll ( I've only read the first posts of that thread and "javascrpit():back" after), well anyway, don't you think my post is more confuse? He he... :DQuote:

Now there's a case of verbal diarrhea if I've ever seen it!
It's not verbal diarrhea. Canadians have started speaking a secret code. The reason for this is obvious : they live so close to the US, the US could hear them if they plot evil schemes against them. What? Don't tell me you trust Canada? Ever seen South Park? :D Therefore they started speaking in an apart language which doesn't raise suspicion - as French does :p - and which nobody can decipher. Be careful of the Ides of March. It's your closest friends who will stab you in the back. :eek:Quote:

Okay now take the first letter of each word (Chssasc) and look it up in your RCMP decoder ring to get the secret word.Quote:

The Canadians are gonna conquer the US, eh? Is that what all this secret code's aboot?
Well, hear this! If you even think about conquering the United States of America, I won't care a single bit. How's that for triple reverse psychology.
Very funny. :D If it weren't that you stole the chance of posting the 1666th post over here from me. Nah, who am I kidding, this thread is as good as dead. Or should I say, as good as Platinum? ;) :rolleyes:Quote:

I have no clue who reads this thread anymore, but it seems like the appropriate place to make this announcement. I am going to Jamaica tomorrow, so I will not be at CodeGuru for a while! I probably won't read anything that is posted between now and the time I get back. Audios all of you, and to all, happy holidays!
Guys,
In the end of the next week I will leav again Germany for one month. I will go again to India *g*. I will be back in the beginning of February. In the meantime, I wish you all a happy holiday, and a great new Year.
-Sonu
Hi Sonu!
Happy holidays to you too!!! Enjoy in India!
I am holidays from 3:00 PM (today) until 7th January :D
You all lucky people, have good holidays.
I don't have any day left so I will spend much of christmas working. The good thing is that it starts this afternoon with my company's christmas party, and as every one knows, in Ireland it means a lot of pints, so I guess I'll be still drunk until the end of Christmas time ;) :D:D:D
May be Platinium is just out for some holidays as well. :p
Sonu, are you working for more than a month in a row sometimes? ;)
Solarflare, have a good trip to Jamaica, and enjoy the sun
Simon666, this thread is not comtpltely dead yet. It has sometimes a few spasms in its agony
Sometimes :DQuote:

No really, the holidays which i am going to take are from the next year, so in the beginning of February, i will work till december, without any big holidays. Maybe i will take another 2 weeks in the middle of the next year :D .
-Sonu
No too bad. Two weeks is about all I'll be able to take until next christmas :(
You german workers are lucky after all.
Have a good time in India.
:) Drink several pints the health of ours :pQuote:

For a start, you've 2 great and gigantic Ego Lords to keep you company : Xeon and Simon.
Cool, eh? These 2 are almost always around at CodeGuru since the dawn of time, especially good ole~ Xeon. :D
More crucially, good ole~ Xeon's total number of posts is gonna hit a blazin' 4000 mark soon. Please cheer me on and say whata' great guy I am when that happens. Only around 50 more to go at this time of posting this thread.:D:D:D:D
Right... but... I seem to be remembering a time when Xeon wasn't there. I think he was, ?banned? or something? was that it? Wasn't Xeon banned? I think he wasn't around for quite some time because he was banned... also when his computer broke, we all were terribly worried for a day, simply because it would be rude not to worry at all, and then we kinda felt a bit better after a while... until Xeon came back and ruined it. But there was that one time, when Xeon was banned...Quote:

Guys, come on now, don't be shy. It's okay, you can welcome me back ;).
In the time I was gone, not much happened, I see, although I'm sure more than that happened. The C++ and WinAPI forum is clearly on its way to flourishing, and all the other forums have continued their astonishing and unparalleled growth. Xeon here is nearly at the landmark 4000 posts, and the other members of codeguru have been just as active...
Well, I'll leave you with this: "Irie"="Everything's alright!" in Jamaican.
From Solar:
Darn! How dare you! No no.....I wasn't banned! Since when! I was only denied entry to the forums, that's all! :p:p:pQuote:

Brad is kinda afraid that you might be a loyal member of CodeProject instead, and thus he taught you a nice lesson. I agree with him totally. :DQuote:

Drats! Siberia isn't any more what it used to be. People can walk in and out like in a coffeeshop. :D I was just beginning to think the only person I still had to take out was lousy Xeon and now you turn back up.
Anyway, wellcome back. :) Do you happen to have family in Jamaica perhaps that you go there with Christmas? I'm continuously stuck here under a grey sky in Belgium, occasionally with rain and rather hot for the time of the year (around 10 degrees at night). No white Christmas nor New Year for me. :(
Yeah, the new "hot spot" for exiles is Kamchatka... don't know why they moved it...Quote:

Awww. You're making me feel bad for temporarily abandoning my CodeGuru bretheren. Actually, there was a white Christmas here in Philadelphia but I wasn't around to enjoy it. But the weather in Belgium isn't really so bad... in the summer it never gets unbearably hot and in the winter it's better than Scandanavia. To answer your original question, no I don't have family in Jamaica. I went to a resort - lotsa fun, but no family. :D:D:eek:Quote:

I think because large parts are still restricted for access as they test missiles over here and such.Quote:

True, the temperatures do not go to extremes, nor in the summer nor in the winter, but it rains much more than we would like.Quote:

No white christmas in Ireland too. Anyway, there's never a white christmas here, it's even more tempered than Belgium is.
It was my first here in Ireland, and I had a "bad" surprise on the christmas day: no wind. It's something that almost never happens here, but we had absolutely no wind. It's bad because we didn't had a chance to try this new kite we just got. :(
To Xeon:
Neither of Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas or Father Christmas brought me a new wife, as they know what people need, and they know I have enough with one. How otherwise would I find time to ggo on CodeGuru? ;)
It is actually going to be the wettest year since there were measurements in Belgium it appears and it's going to rain for what's left of the year. Some parts of Belgium are on the verge of being flooded as it has been raining nearly continuously. :(
What I would like to ask Xeon : have you ever seen snow apart from that white/dirty grey stuff in the freezer next to your chicken chops? :D
From Elrond:
Hi and welcome back, Elrond! Aye~! Me and 5000 frustrated men from all over the world are gonna write petitions to Santa Claus(in the North), Father Christmas(in the South) and Saint Nicholas.(in Heaven)Quote:

I'm the leader of this group, and we demand to know why most men can only have 1 wife. It's gonna be real darn nice if you've 2 women to wake you up in bed every morning, right? Besides, playtime will be really fun too. Aye~! :D:D:D

NO. I have NEVER seen or touch snow before. Singapore and the entire S.E. Asia has no snow. I'm quite sure India doesn't have snow too. The only Asian countries that have snow is China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.
Plus, we're kinda poor to afford any air tickets. :)
Happy now, Simon meanie?

I think India might get snow at the tops of some mountains, and I guess your list doesn't include Mongolia, Russia, and all the "-stan"s.
Gee man. I only wondered whether you ever went to another country that did have snow. I didn't mean to insult you or anything. I know pretty well there is as much chance that it snows in Singapore as there is a chance that hell freezes over. And I can know about the last one. :DQuote:

Now some more info : just read in the newspaper that this year is also the hottest since there were measurements apart from two years which were even hotter : 2001 and 1989.
So do you think that, if there is global warming, it was induced by humans or naturally induced (or H311 induced)?Quote:

But anyway, this year is really the hottest!(at least in Singapore)
During the past 8 months, the humans here are really turning into chicken chop and baked beans by the sun.
I was about to turn into baked food myself, man.
It's darn much hotter than summers in the US, and you can feel the sun's heat everywhere.
Xeon, It is late, and I have had a long day, still I can not resist the following post (especially since it is the general discussion area :D :p
The original stated purpose of this thread is (of course) "Where are we From?".
I know your current physical location (within a few hundred kilometers or so), but that does not begin do describew where (I believe) you are from. In fact I do not think "light-years" even provides a reasonable set of units :p .
To you maybe. Geographically, I think the Asian part of Russia (=Siberia) is even the biggest country in Asia. And Mongolia does have snow.Quote:

And now serious: I don't know ofcourse what is going on. If you put all those things together, you would conclude there is something like a greenhouse effect acting already. But it could be because of the media attention these events get that are in line with this effect. Facts that are not in line or even contradict probably never get the same kind of attention.
What do you think of that one then?Quote:

Xeon!!! Looks like Simon666 had done some research on our home country, Singapore.
Obviously, Simon perceives you as an easier enemy than Solar and he is coming to finish off you first. He might attack you at 12 midnight exact when the year 2002 crosses over to 2003. There is nothing you can do about it!!:D
Oh wait! There is something to be done instead of waiting haplessly for Death, even though the chance of it stopping Simon is very slim; If you don't have a cross at home, go make 1 with your usual favorite chopsticks for eating your favorite chicken chops. Oh heck, it is matter of your life and death! And you still bother that you have to eat chicken chops with knife and fork tonight!!!
P.S. to Simon, I'm not in Singapore right now , so tonight you need not drop by at my flat after you have finished off Xeon.;)
