Well... I do not trink more than one bear (a hoibe = a half) at one time... So if I drink one at lunch and one at light evening meal it won't be a problem... Sometimes I drink must instead of bear.

And one should be said: I may drink alcohol but I was only drunk once, and that enough for the rest of my life! :sick:

There is also Sweetmust which is nearly the same as apple juice. Just make Applejuice out of the small Mustapples (those are very small and sour) and put it three month into an oak barrel and you got the best must you can make!

That's the thing about the states that I hate the most: our view of drinking. I enjoy wine and scotch and beer and it's looked upon as a social/evening thing that should lead to being drunk/buzzed. We as a whole should be more lax in our views... we're not a very relaxed people...

Nohero: Must sounds good... What's the difference between must and wine? Wine is grape specific?

Do you make your own must? :confused:

Well, some of that can be attributed to some religious movements. In europe, alcohol is not viewed as a drug, heck, in Germany beer is viewed as a sort of food (I know, I've been there, the beer is incredible ;) .)

Must comes from special kind of apples and pears. At first it is sweet. The so called sweetmust. Then you must leave it for 2 months or so, so the apple and pear juice brew and becomes sour. Now you have light-must. If you let it be for another month it becomes even more sour. Now you have normal must. As long as you let it stay the more alcohol you get. I know this question might sound stupid. :D But I was curious, you said that if you let it stay for 4 months its called "Strum" and has about 50% alcohol. What if you let it say for 8 months... then that would be about $100% alcohol... do people still drink those?? :confused: Hehehe. I know its a silly question... :D :D :D

No... It would starting to get bad... Since it's pure ferment apple juice it would get bad after 5 months. There would be too much alcohol in it and after drinking it you would get drunk by 0.33l and the diarrhea you would get from it, would nearly hit you down :sick: ...

And an highly fermet must is called "Sturm" not "Strum"... (Sdrum(a) supposed to be an idiot in Upperaustria :D ) ... I think highly fermet wine is also called "Sturm". Which means storm. And yet is like a whirlwind in your digestion.
