Re: The "last one to post on this thread wins" Thread
well, austria and alcohol...
what nohero is referring to as "must" is very very similar to the more commonly known cider, while cider is usually not that sour and sometimes sweetened by adding sugar and water. there's a famous brand of cider called "strongbow" which you can get in most irish pubs (i got it here in traun in "ye olde sherry" and also in dubai in "the irish village"). strongbow is a very dangerous drink! it's even more drinkable than beer, which means that you can drink 3 liters and it still tastes great! but you're obviously very drunk then... in some pubs, you can get some raspberry juice into it which makes it even more tasty. and it's (in pubs) cheaper than beer.
i'm quite sure that you can get cider in the us or anywhere.
btw, i'm as nohero more a must-drinker than a beer-fan. with beer, i need to drink half a liter fist before it's becoming tasting good, but i couldn't drink half a liter of german beer, so i would never get drunk with german beer ;)
other than that, must is best from the first drop on!
these days is the time for the traditional "mostkost" (must trying) in upper austria. all the farmers give some of their must to a jury, which then judges the best must of all! after that, there are big events on farms where "the public" can have a look at the hall of fame of musts and taste the difference! as soon as you've found the best must for your taste, the way to being drunk is getting very short...
so far, i've been on 2 mostkost's, yesterday and the sunday before. unfortunately, i couldn't drink too much yesterday as i was there with my motorcycle (which worst of all broke down after the mostkost and i had to have it towed back home).

Re: The "last one to post on this thread wins" Thread
thinking about "the eternal conflict between good and evil", i asked myself who is performing more successful... as there's no real winner of that battle, i would be interested in which side was performing better by now according to statistics (like "goal shots" or "attack time").
logically thinking, i would guess that evil is performing more successful (not better, as it isn't even "good" ;) ), because when two opponents are almost equal, success is a matter of surrender or cheating. as i would say that the good tend to surrender and are, other than evil, not able to cheat, evil has some big advantage!
another question: from the evil's point of view, is good evil
-
Re: The "last one to post on this thread wins" Thread
Evil always prevail over good. Look in the world today and see. Someone said good is dumb, so that's why evil wins. I don't think good is dumb, but it's dumb enough to believe it prevails over evil.

good points.
the question that comes to my mind is, why doesn't evil wipe out good? the answer seems to be at hand: lazyness is considered as bad or evil, and the evil is thought to be lazy. but evil is also greedy! but how can the greedy satisfy it's hunger when being that lazy? right, by exploiting the good.
-
Re: The "last one to post on this thread wins" Thread
No, I think the reason is other. Evil needs Good. It keeps it sharp, it helps it evolve. If Evil wipes out Good, there would be no more Good and Evil and Evil would find no match. In this scenario Evil would un-evolve, which is something unacceptable. So Evil not only keeps Good alive but grants it victories once in a while only to deceive and mentain the conflict that makes it stronger each day.
/Evil is so smart...

Hey, reset-leo, what is the web address to your motorsports gallery??? I can't visit it from work. Me being a driver myself (Porsche of course) I am interested in such things. Do you drive, or are just a fan?

the link in my signature should bring you directly to the gallery, doesn't it? the url is http://members.liwest.at/oachkatzlschwoaf/rallye (unfortunately, i didn't register some domain for my websites yet...)
i'm so far not driving (in races) myself, as i'm always a little short on money ;) but i'm planning to participate in some autocross races this summer, just to see how good my driving skills are (i don't think there's much chance to win something racing my renault safrane). some day i would also like to participate in our local motorcyle "uphill" race (there will be pictures in the gallery soon).
actually, i'm only a fan, but quite close to the action (e.g. being passenger in a rallye car) as our company does sponsoring for a rallye team. and of course, i go kart racing sometimes.
