It's okay though, I've already got it handled for him:
Simon's website
Solar! U're so right! :):):D:):):D
Have you got smarter? :D
Sorry for interrupting the fighting, but happy new Year to everybody :)
I just came back from holidays so I'll be able to bug you guys again

Simon666, Xeon, solarflare:
I have had much better opinion about you guys. It has changed since I went over your posts.
It seems to me that not only are you working really hard on mudding each other but also setting number of posts really high!
Come back to earth! Insults are never good for anybody neither insulter nor insultee.
Well OK. I'll try to keep it limited to specific threads. I thought nobody even reads the general discussion forum.Quote:

Welcome back Yves and happy New Year, and to you too John. By the way, why are you counting Elrond in? He's a nice guy. He never said a bad word as far as I know.
About the number of posts: don't work it out on us. It is not our fault there still isn't a rating system. Seems like you're upset with this, or started becoming it ever since someone found it necessary to boast about his post number.
Sorry Elrond I have pasted your name and did not catch it before hitting post button.
Simon666, thanks for pointing it.
I always assume people are kind unless they proof otherwise.Quote:

As for ratings? I am not taking it on you; it is just an example to show how system is wrong.
Yes I am little upset about ratings from the beginning, when codeguru changed format. I have gotten over it for time being but it recently becomes hotter issue.
Most of us long time members are taking time from very tight schedule and I am sure that some kind of recognition for quality not quantity would be appreciated by many.
Finding solution for the problem is challenging for me and I enjoy it, that is why I am still here. I have never initiated thread with a question, always trying to resolve problems.
Well, I was home in Luxembourg with my family for christmas etc. :)Quote:

Yeah, true... Oh well, it doesn't really matter to me, since you sort of get to know the regulars and know how much they know about specific topics, but then again it's probably different for new visitors...Quote:

You can tell how good a response is by reading it, not looking at the number of posts! I know that when I post a programming question I don't examine the validity of any post by checking who put it there. Besides, most people only post serious stuff in the programming forums.Quote:

You say that with contempt, as if there were something morally wrong with asking a question. John, I realize that some of the people here don't conform to your every whim, but they don't come into your house and criticize you for no reason, so don't do it to them. You can't seriously insult people and expect them to take it without a response.Quote:

Hi there Yves! Happy New Year! U know, we all miss you so much, especially since you're such a nice, warm, friendly and handsome, cute and awesome SuperModerator!Quote:

Some of us, especially ME(XEON) and SolarFlare, misses you like anything! Ohhh......how touching! :D
Life is really bad when our great Mafia boss is gone, u know.
From JohnCZ:
Again, I wanna emphasize on the fact that Xeon, Simon666 and SolarFlare are the 3 mighty EgoLords of CodeGuru. Let this be recognise throughout the entire site, and that all SuperModerators are aware of this. And yes. The EgoLords posters will be coming out really soon. A new boyband with new ego of the new Age : Simon666, Xeon and Solar. :DQuote:

It's hard to believe, but I have around 120++ points here in the past! The number is pathetic cmpared to VGirish(3000++ points!!!!!) and Sam Hobbs and Phillip Nicoletti and Paul McKenzie etc., but it's still much better than NULL! :DQuote:

And Yves M shall be the judge!(John......if you win, you'll become one of our Mafia member and start collecting gurls and money from new Codeguru members every 2 weeks)
JohnCZ wouldnt stand a chance. Look, he's already skipped outta here. What would I get if I win??? I think you told me once that I couldn't collect gurlz/$$$ from people for some reason. :(Quote:

After this do you go out to the ring to trash things out.
As for the prize, it's your choice : 16 free gurls(really cute) from different countries(USA, UK, Russia, Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Singapore) or US$800,000.
Your choice. :cool::cool::cool:
People you're crazy how can you write so much in the holydays.
BTW HAPPY NEW YEAR
:D ;) :p :)
I don't have a life. I had to help my parents with moving furnature out of the house of a family member. So far my "vacation". I'm actually glad to be back at work. But my back hurts due to the lifting of heavy stuff. :( How was your vacation?Quote:

I'm a teenager, man ;)
I went to parties, discos, clubs..., went skiing several times..., played RPG with my friends, went to bridge tournament...
as a whole it was cool
Sory you didn't enjoy yoursrelf during the vacation...
That's probably bacause you didn't come to the party at my place :D ;) :p
Wish you a nice 2003. More parties, more fun :D
You can tell it but not every one can. For some problems, there are different solutions. All will work, so all are correct, but not as good. A new coder my start with the solution of the most senior member because he has no other real idea which is the best.Quote:

The old rating system helped me sometimes at the beginning (even though someone could get high rating with a lot of answering, not just with the best answers).
To JohnCz
You deleted my name before I saw it, so no proplemo ;)
Happy to see that some people are back. It will change a little from the war of the three! :p :D
Hey it is not like I'm near retirement. I'm 24. Although my back feels like it is ruined by now. If you know my dad collects old pinball machines you'll understand it is not just from moving furnature once. And Bulgaria is way too far man. If it were Luxembourg I would say OK maybe. Maybe if I get valium or something prescribed I will still be able to feel like I'm in higher regions. :DQuote:

You know me and freand will soon finish work on our book called 'A Hichhiker's Guide to Bulgaria' (no joke here serously)
I can give a free copy.
Oh I believe you. But I hope you don't end up cut up in pieces in a plastic rubbish bag. There is still a serial killer on the loose in Belgium who is never found for doing that. But all victims were women, I guess as male the risk is lower. There are a lot of weirdo's around you know. Be careful.Quote:

Marina
Happy new year to each of you!
Ummm......actually, I hate to say this, Marina.....but do u know it's been 24 years since you last posted?
Hum, I hate to say this, Xeon, but... you know we don't use same year-length ?
Do you want 24 "Happy New Year" wishes?
Marina
Sure that's nice to see plenty of people coming back here after a "dull" christmas holidays.
I hope this will bring some interesting subjects once again, even if this adds no more to the post count: Poor Simon666 that will never be able to reach the elite status now ;) So close :D:D:D
Welcome back Marina, Seventh start, JohnCz. There are still a few missing.
For this new year:
I hope the war we had here between Solaflare, Xeon and Simon666 will be the worst this year.
I hope CodeGuru community will become even more friendly.
I hope the world will be a better place for all the coders and not as good for the weapon industry.
And good luck to every one.
Not if I use an extra effort in helping in the other forums.Quote:

I'm not so naive. It's because it seems it's gone be one of their best years than I hope it won't be, and if this year is not great for them, then there is hope I can live my life before the Earth is destroyed.Quote:

How bad would that be that no one is left to explain to Xeon that he won't find girls if he keeps thinking of them as gurls? :D :D
I'll take the women from Russia, Japan, France, Singapore, Germany, Australia, Spain, Canada, and 400 grand.Quote:

By the way, I noticed that the title of this forum is now "General Discussion / Chit Chat". Do they think my plans for conquering the omnibetaverse were just idle chit chat!!!?????? By the way, what is the "new rule" that you keep referring to, Elrond? Is it that the posts in this forum don't count anymore?
yes and it ispired me to make the hitchhiker's guide to Bulgaria.Quote:

Happy new year to each of you!
Its a book about our journeys hitchhiking written in a funny way. You know I have gone 4500km hithchiking only in Bulgaria that has length 690km and height 420km
Where was I? home. :o)
I don't want the planet to be destroyed. So I promise not to send any nuclear bomb anywhere. This year. No, ok, never! I don't think I will ever have access to them anyway. I wish we never invented that stuff.
I wish we find a way to travel into space, and others planets to go to.
Well, that was my morning thinking. Have a nice day all.

No. Later this year, us 3 EgoLords are gonna wage a terrible war with flames that'll engulf the entire Codeguru.Quote:
I hope the war we had here between Solaflare, Xeon and Simon666 will be the worst this year.
No.....I seriously wish there's more Plexors. Then, we can have heroes to subdue these guys and us 3 EgoLords and regular members can play heroes. That's cool. :cool:Quote:

No Elrond! If you treat gurls as boys, they're gonna get put off, k?! :pQuote:
How bad would that be that no one is left to explain to Xeon that he won't find girls if he keeps thinking of them as gurls?
For example, try calling a **** "hey pal!" if you're a man/boy/male.
She's not gonna think you're sweet.
But if you call her something passionate like "sweet tart", "sucha' cute li'l egg tart" or "gurlie-gurly", it's gonna be better. Much better.
From Simon666:
No.....that topic is really tough. I've search the Net and even if it can be done, it's very slow and buggy.(that's what a UI library creator told me; he has tried that before)Quote:

No, you can't. Our policy states that you can choose from only either prize. No combination of the prizes allowed. :D:D:DQuote:

If you call in Belgium or the Netherlands a woman a tart, you're very likely to get punched in the face. :p It is an insult.Quote:

What does you signature mean?Quote:
The black and yellow attack is back!!!
:) It's a heavy group's slogan. They always wear clothes in those colours :D and they say (or said) many times that sentence.
Hi Irona,
are they bees???
No Marina... they are stryper
on the other hand, I'm happy to see you again here :D
A quick search on Google learned me that this band is called Stryper and that it should be "The yellow and black attack is back" and not vice versa. I could not find out whether or not these guys are bees. Let's just say they are. :D
Well, I like more black than yellow :p
They are a bit bees :)
Is Stryper a rock band? From where, Spain?
Probably according to Xeon's year length, IT is 24 years...Quote:

:D
Hi, and welcome back to these forums, gurls!
Really, Codeguru was kinda lacking in something recently until u 2 came back : Feminity.
And no. I'm still 18, but will be turning 19 after June 2003. :)
CBasicNet said you were turning 19 this year, which is true. And anyway, his point still stands - about your distorted view of time.:eek::cool::D

Nah! It's true that Marina has been away for centuries and such, and I'm just using 24 years as a kinda analogy! :):):):)Quote:

So you say it has actually been longer than 24 years??!! The time just flew bye, didn't it!
Yes, it is a rock band... but Spain??!!!  They are from USA :)Quote:

Marina away for 24 years? That means I wasn't born yet when she came to this forum first and disappeared.
Oh, and by the way, the literal translation of tart is 'taart' and probably means the same as in English, but the filling is not necessarily fruit but can also be chocolate and such. The meaning when used for women is usually in conjunction with 'oud' or old, so 'old tart'. Meaning something not very flattering, like an old hag in English. I didn't want to mention that in the VC++ forum as I do not need that stuff to boost my post ratio.
Ok Xeon, I understand how much you missed me :)
As everybody has changed his avatar, I'd like to find another one for me. I don't want to be the last one with my picture there.
It's freezing here in France, how is it around you??
Marina
