Yes, Xeon, I'm back. Just took some well deserved hollidays. I see that some people hurried to declare me dead-and-burried as soon as I didn't post for a week or so. Tough luck for them, I'm not :D

And I see from your posts that you still smoke something strong - you never wanted to tell us what that is :D

Everybody can see what a specific user is doing currently, just check th combobox "Forum Jump" below at the end of the side and select "Who's Online" and voiala you will see what each user is doing right now.

Well i am doing some coding with VC++ and some other languages, and writing reviews for several book publishers.

BTW: I am nice guy currently living in Germany. I think that is the importast power which a human can have.

That is a heck of a poll, honestly. The number of replies probably breaks all records. I always thought of the General Discussion boards as being rarely visited, but it doesn't seem to be so any more. That is good, I think, because people get to know wach other better this way.

A-propos books: do you know some online place in Germany that can deliver the C++ Standard at a decent price per invoice to Switzerland? The online bookstores here in Switzerland offer the Standard at horrendous prices (~120 CHF). You can order it directly from the Standards Comitee, for $18 or so, but I'm not very enthusiastic about internet shopping with credit card.

Did you have a look at www.amazon.de ? In Austria you could as I remember pay directly with your account.

Yep, I had a look at Amazon. They don't have The Standard at all. Thanks anyway.

Well, Addison Wesley doesn't have it, but I just realized that I was doing a big confusion: the Comitee offers a PDF file for 18 bucks. The printed version is $175:( . So I think that the swiss price of ~CHF120 is a fairly good one....

Look at the small character line on top of each forum, or group of forums... You'll see your name, and the one of others who browse the page.

Well, the The C++ Standard (ISO/IEC 14882) as resulted after final technical vote of the ISO C++ Comitee that took place November 14, 1997.
