That is my whole point. A FUTURE human being IS CURRENTLY NOT necessarily a human being yet. It is far more primitive and people twist this logic, which is understandable, because we know the resulting being is human, is a son or a daughter, is valuable and is the future of mankind. But it is not (yet) a human as we understand it. That is my point.

Well! Indeed, I feel really suprised and at the same time, totally honoured to have been nominated for this great prize.
Actually, this is all nothing. After all, in the history of mankind, there were greater saints and nobler lords, right? What is this act of mine comparable to? Nothing!

Well, my good people, I feel kind of guilty to have been walking up on this gallant stage to receive this prize! Really! I dunno what to say! But then, in life, be your best.

Just for info, I am against it too, with the clarification that it should be avoided whenever it can. This is not often the case, people are often careless. But I do not believe you should be able to deny other people that right if they want to do it. I'ld like people to be able to choose upon their own life and death. If you are against it, fine, then just don't do it in your case. But do not interfere with how other people decide. That is the first step to a dictature.

For your words, do you believe in anarchy??? For me, laws must impede murders, and for me an abort is a murder.

I do not want to discuss this topic any further since it is sensitive and personal, I just wanted to give my opinion once. Especially since I do not like insinuations that Belgium is an anarchy (Irona) or has murder written in its laws (Irona, Ungi). :mad: Our country is a legal mess and many citizens do not like the government, but that does not make these accusations true.

Unless you ARE God, right? I mean, look at his track record. There was the flood, of course. Then there was the little incident of Sodom and Gomorrah, entire cities wiped out because they were "unkind to their neighbors". Also, he wasn't too keen on Egyptians, and had the Jewish slaves mark their own doors with blood so God would know to pass over their houses as he went door to door killing the firstborn of all Egyptians (one has to wonder why God could not tell the difference between Egyptians and Jewish slaves). Very funny one Garret. I know there is plenty of that in the old testament. But that is heritage from the Jews. The church did in the beginning not know what to do with this heritage and decided to partially incorporate it. In fact, if we would follow that to we would also not be allowed to eat pork, we would have to be circumcized (ouch) and so on.

The historic background is that every nation sometimes has conflicts with its neighbours, therefore most religions have incorporated that it is OK for God as long as these people do not share the same conviction, in order to avoid conscience problems of soldiers and so.

But the new testament is very peaceful, Jesus has said nowhere that it is OK to kill people who do not believe in God. He even gave a Roman his ear back.
