Actually I'm not surprised that intelligence is starting to win over brawn in this world of ours. Attraction is about propogating the species and the people most likely to survive are the people who are most attractive.
Go back 10,000 years and the big muscley brute who could club the most furry animals for food was most likely to survive.
Now people with intelligence and/or money and/or power are the most likely to survive. And so these are gaining attractive status.
