nice pics, cilu and Maximus_X :thumb:
Looks like there is a ski-craze now :) It's been 2 years since I ski-ed last... which means, I need lessons again :D:D
Wow. Nice pictures. I haven't skied for about 10 years, but you never forget. I went to Steamboat Springs, Co as a kid, and did some advanced hills. Not sure I'd try them again, though.
First of all thank you for your appreciation.Quote:

It's like you learn to drive the bicycle. It's hard to forget it. :p
So, next time, don't hesitate to start skiing! :D
Wonderful landscape and great shots. I mean you are not only an excellent developer, you are an photoartist too :thumb:Quote:

To have people on a picture during they are doing sports or somethin else, a snapshot as we say, is always much better and looks more natural. And to get people that they look like being in action during they are on a photo even when they aren't really busy, this is really very difficult. But as I told before your photos look great.Quote:

Good luck! :thumb:
I forgot to mention this before, but I posted some pics of my trip to Brasil on my blog, see http://www.nuonsoft.com/blog/2007/12...asil-pictures/
Enjoy :)
And see http://www.nuonsoft.com/blog/2008/01/26/new-car/ for some pics of my new car :):)
Please note that these are not so great, since the car was already a bit dirty and wet. I will take some new pictures when I have cleaned it completely and when it’s sunny, somewhere in the summer probably....
S40? http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/...ticons7/36.gif
Congratulations. :)
Yes, Volvo S40, 136 horses :)
Drives really really nice and the audio is just perfect :)
OK, I will now stop hunting Volkswagens from Belgium on A6-Nürnberg and focus my efforts on S40s (with loud music) only. :DQuote:

You can focus on S40s from Belgium with a licenseplate starting with Y to make it even easier ;)
LOL! :D Right, chasing is not easy. With 136 HP, you can touch 200 kmph on German autobahns. :)
BTW, you didnt supply other important details: is it a petrol or diesel version? Torque?
PS: Don't drink and drive, okay? :D
I wouldn't start going bathing there when I see that lots of crocodils. Was this a crocodile farm, or are they such common there ? brrr...Quote:

After a while we had more than 10 catched and prepared them in a piranha soup :)
205 kmph to be correct which is 128 miles per hour for the non-metrics people...Quote:

- Torque: 320Nm

Obviously, I never do :thumb:Quote:

- Higher torque for the same capacity i.e. you accelerate faster.
- Higher mileage i.e. you tank fewer times (and save money there).
On the other hand diesel engines have larger capacity which means higher taxes and more money spent on insurance.
Are you confusing capacity with power? You get diesel engines in the same size as petrol-equivalents. After all, they are both often restricted by the capacity in the car they fit in. ;)Quote:

Like Sidd already mentioned:
- The S40 2.0 Diesel has 320Nm of torque, while the S40 2.0 Petrol only has 185Nm of torque.
- The 2.0 diesel one uses on average 5.8l/100 km, while the 2.0 petrol uses on average 7.4l/100 km.
- In Belgium, diesel is 1.151 euro per liter, petrol is 1.440 euro per liter
... also, it's a company car, so, we cannot choose whether we want diesel or petrol, but if you look at the above numbers, diesel is not a bad choice ;)
Yes, of course! :pQuote:

No, no, I meant engine capacity, not car capacity ;). As far as I noticed, many cars came in two versios: diesel and gasoline. But the diesel engine is always larger in capacity than the gasoline one. For instance I have a Skoda Octavia 1.6l. The equivalent on diesel is 1.9l. That's what I meant.Quote:

They are not really equivalent, right? The equivalent petrol-version of the Skoda 1.9 Diesel motor is the 1.8 FSI motor.Quote:

(Actually, in Europe one does not always get a Diesel version of the lowest end petrol motor.)
The numbers I was quoting was for the 2.0 liter diesel and the 2.0 liter petrol so both the same capacity and then you see the diesel has some advantages ;)
Ah, yes, well, it's 10.6m. Might be not so small I have no clue actually, but up to know I didn't had any problems with it for normal driving, parking, maneuvering, etc... :wave:Quote:

hehe, maybe you drove the S40 from last year, the one with the circular backlights...
It was early 2006 when I was test-driving some cars... So, you are quite right. It was an older version with a turning radius of 13m, IIRC (and back then it had reinforced my belief that Volvo makes good trucks :D, looks like they have improved a lot!). :)
Ok, no cars in this picture, just me and some friends, relaxing, doing nothing...
Wow, nice photo! Which place is that?
It's at Wat Tham Sua (or Tiger Cave Temple) in Krabi, Thailand. The picture was taken just after walking up (and down) a 1237 steps staircase to see a big golden Buddha.Quote:

Yea, on windy days it can feel pretty cold indeed ...
And with that outfit, your undercover mission had no chance of failing ;)
Here's a picture of me and two of my grandkids taken last weekend.
on the left Michelle(4) and on the right Jesse(8)..
Nice photo, Gremlin! I like Michelle's demure pose. :)
Since the first photo I posted here was taken at a wedding, I thought I'd do the same (as the first photo I post after not being around for a while). This was taken January this year, from the wedding of one of my friends in the second photo I posted here (in this thread).

Welcome back! :)
Welcome Back Cherish...
Maybe now CC will pick up again..
And the weather there looked fantastic...
Now next question, how long are you going to be around for this time ;)..
Hehe, good question. :) I really don't want to say something definite... but I will try to stick longer than usual, not just here at CC but on other forums as well (I hope).Quote:

Hehe... A hearty welcome back to CG from me, too, Cherish! ;) :) :)
