Who said so.. of course you can take your own pic yourself... For example .. see at wildfrog's pics..he takes them himself and hence his pics are always with his head tilted.. ;)

well...don't expect you'll got the internet access there...they don't have such thing...even the toilet, you'll have to share it with others...worse yet, you'll have to share your hotel room with another 10 renters(is it a word?)..:D....
