I come from Gran Canaria, which is a beautiful island and the most populated among the archipelago, but it's not so advertised as Tenerife or Lanzarote, so not many people have heard about it.
I think that all the Canary Islands are special in some way, they're very different one from another, and that's what makes them more attractive. This summer I think I'll spend five or six days in Tenerife, and the rest of my holiday at Gran Canaria. It'll be great... If finally I get some holidays at work. :(

Anyway, general topics tend to be more popular, rather than topics such as baseball, basketball or soccer. Anyway, you wouldn't see me or the girls participating in any sports-related thread(The Basketball Thread, The Baseball Thread etc., cos' we don't understand them.
Girls and sports will never go well together, that's for sure.
Boy and cosmetics will never match up well together, that's a fact. :cool::)

Well baseball is the "thinking man's sport". It's fairly simple but strategy is complicated. Basically, there are nine-player teams. A pitcher throws the ball towards home plate, and the batter swings to try to hit it. There are a bunch of ways to get 'out', but if the batter is not out, then he reaches base. There are three bases plus home plate. To score a run, the player must get from home to first to second to third, and back to home. The team with the most runs wins. Cricket, softball and baseball are all the same.
Cricket are for college guys.
Baseball are for kids.(toddlers to high schoolers)
Softball are for women and girls, because due to their soft, sweet and tender nature, softball is adjusted to fit them.
