I've never been there...it's my sincere and humble attempt to put an uneasy feeling in you before you set your foot on the plane....and can't sleep all the way to Doha thinking how awful will it be...resulting you'll feel sleepy and tired as soon as you arrived and missed the fun there:D...

since you'd been charged that much, it's obvious that you'd acted suspiciously like a bloody foreigner who doesn't know anything about their place...if not, you'll be charged only $0.50 per hour...next time you go to Doha, blend with the locals harmoniously....disguise if necessary...i.e: wear beards, turbans, long garment and speak arabic...it's not that hard:D....
