A small question regarding the "who's turn it is to ask a question" thingie: what if the one who's turn it is doesn't post for a week or so? For the records: I'm not eager to ask a question, 'cause I don't have a good one handy.
You were two minutes faster than me. :D I don't know who the original is from, but Warren G's version is quite good.Quote:

There is little chance with that for solarflare, but if that should happen: if not after 12 hours there is a new question, how about the second guy who came up with an answer if there is one, or else the previous person who has asked a question, or else the thread starter our buddy SeventhStar?Quote:

I suggest we give solarflare time till tomorrow at 9CET. Then the one that's question was answered by solarflare (Elrond) gets to ask again. solarflares point is removed an Elrond is given one.
Perhaps the solution is that you shouldn't answer a question until you have another one to ask?? If you can't think of one, you can maybe drop "hints" to the others??
I don't think solarflare points should be removed or any point added to me in this case. There will be a point where it will be quite difficult to find new riddles (when the most famous ones, plus a few more) will have been asked. I don't want to have my point removed if I don't find any riddle myself.Quote:

We said that this is highly unlikely... I don't believe that solarflare won't answer... when he wakes up :D
But we had better think of rules for this thread...
I think he checks sometimes during the break at work, in an hour or four. I think at least that he has a break at around that time for lunch. We'll see.Quote:

I agree we'll need rules in case someone is too slow to find a question, but no adding or removing of points.
I don't know if one of these is the original version, but I like the Bob Marley's and Eric Clapton's ones. I prefer the one by Bob Marley, anyway. :) :)Quote:

About the rules for this game:
1.- The person who answers the right question should be the next to ask, and the rest should wait patiently. :p It's very recommendable, however that everyone of us has a question in mind just in case.
2.- We have to respect the time difference between the different countries, but a person from Europe will always have more chance to answer a question posted by another european person than one from America. And viceversa. I think this leads to a thread were questions posted by europeans are answered by europeans and six or seven hours after that, the american people start posting questions and answers. And the same for the rest of the world. I don't know how to deal with that.
3.- But... if questions are more difficult each time, maybe they can be up to one day or more without being solved. This leads with SeventhStar's question a few posts ago: if 24 hours after posting a question it is not resolved, I think we should give 1 point to the person who posted it. Just as long as he proves that there really is a solution and it's not impossible to answer because of nationality differences.
4.- I think that SeventhStar, as he was the person who started the thread, should be the only person able to give points.
Well, these are not rules, just ideas for them. I'll wait for you to give the rules, but I was just suggesting some things.
Best regards, :)
Ana
Okay let's try:
1. The one to have answered a question gets a point and the right to ask another question.
2. If the asker can't think of a question he can pass this right to anyone that wants it.
3. If the asker doesn't do so within 24 hours from answering the previos asker asks one more time.
4. If an answer isn't answered withnin 24 hours from asking, the asker receives a point and asks one more (that is if he/she can provide the right answer and explai it)
5. Impeachment: If 5 players say 'we don't want this question' the asker receives a point and asks again before 24 hours have passed (that is if he/she can provide the right answer and explai it).
6. If the asker can't explain a non-answered question... well here I dont know.
Need help about 6.
He loses a point for wasting everyone's time?Quote:

I agree with that
Status posts should appear often and I don't think that I muast be the onlyone to post them.
I'm not alway here you know :D
score:
1. Simon and Gabriel - 2pts
2. Saturno, Elrond, solarflare and me (SeventhStar) - 1pt
current asker: solarflare
One more thing.... Not quite sure about the impeachment rule. What would be deemed as valid reasons for the 5 players to reject the question? Too hard? Too easy? Too many possible answers? If so, why should the asker get a point?Quote:
