Its good you've added the word "most" before "women" this time. For if you put "women" only.. I would have reacted again. :p That's my point actually, women wear jewelry for a lot of different reasons. It is also a case to case basis. One woman might wear jewelry mostly for what you're saying, but its not the same for others.

It is pretty evident that we are not discussing individuals.

What I stated was a general trend. And, if you can - please elicit the reasons why another woman might wear jewelry, and you will see that at the end of the day it all boils down to being more attractive (first to one's own self and than to others), and hence improving one's own standing amongst peers (first in one's own eyes and then in the eyes of another - the man). ;)

However - in case you didn't know - the only women in one's life aren't just women one meets in a party. Girl friends, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, neighbours, classmates, colleagues and party people fall into this category. :p
