Never it was. There's a part of France called Brittany, but this isn't where France started and never was the name of France. It might have been the name of England, now called Great Britain...Quote:

I know, I couldn't resist ;)Quote:
Now, since when have I said that???!! :p I guess I didn't phrase my speech properly. :)
Yes, that's kinda true. Probably not everywhere, but it works in a few places. Where I live in Ireland, people usually love French accent, and some who don't speak French at all even love to hear French people speaking french. That's true for both men and women ;)Quote:
U know, they say that if you learn French, gurls tend to get impressed. Is that true, Elrond????!!!
If it's true, is it because of the accent? Or are those French words just too erotic and sexy and they turn gurls on???!!!
If so......I really should go and learn French......:D
That's because french speaking is based on a very ancient magical language that was used to summon gods and godesses. To accomplish that, the ancient people needed to add a lot of charm in their words.
Even though we've lost all the words and now speak a language based mainly on latin, we've kept part of this way of speaking and that explain that some power is left. :D:D:D
It's a pity that the gods have become imune to this tone after hearing to much summoning, and thus the France has lost most of its past power (as you know, gods do not need to eat, so French food does not have any effect on them). :(
here you are asking country of origin or the country in which i am living at present?
Your country of origin ;)Quote:

JeffB
Why, you should know if you had read all the thread ;):p
We ask for the coutry of origin.
Else it would have been Where are we at :D
The BIG K I guess ;)
I think you have forgotten all the other programmers of CodeGuru in your count. :pQuote:

I occasionally spot the great Philip Nicoletti, but not as often as before.Quote:

Now, Elrond.....if u wanna tease someone, go tease your cute li'l wife, k? Please no.......AAARRGGGHHH!!!!!!! No no.......don't push me onto that dreaded bed............ARRKKKKK no!!!!!!! I'm not a gay, please......Elrond.....I beg you, please......nay! Just kidding! :DQuote:

Hmmm.....I see. U know, Elrond, from an online survey that was conducted on Bolt.com(teenager's site) in the past, it seems that gurls actually love French accents the most. Aye.......luckily, the number of English-speaking people on this planet is the majority, not French, or else it'll be a MUST to learn French in order to get any ****. :)Quote:

IS THAT TRUE?????? Really?????? What the heck!!!!! I hope u're not joking, Elrond! Wow! Awesome! Now, at least I know why French has such aromatic and awesome effects. Yes, yes......when we speak of Gods and Goddesses etc, our speech tend to get kinda grand and magnificient......those great words by noble people.....wow......Quote:

But then, I wouldn't go learn French, I think.
First, I wanna be natural and I want gurls to like me for who I am. Since I'm not a French or anything and if I were to go learn French just to impress the gurls......it'll be too artificial. Besides, most Asians, by nature, do not have that kinda tongue-twisting accent that Caucasians have. :)
That's why. :D
Oh I see.....yes, yes. Logical.Quote:

They need something gteat to arouse them : Chicken Chop. This legendary food of unknown origin and recipe is simply golden and none, be it mortal or immortal, can resist it. :DQuote:

On the other hand, I noticed one thing. It seems that this thread is kinda slowly becoming alive since Elrond came back, eh??!!
Wow! A French like Elrond really lives up to his name! Charismatic! :)
Now, even JeffB is returning!
Let's try to get the DoubleGurls(Irona and Marina) to return too, if we guys can.
Anyway, as u folks are aware of, some of you programmers are currently working in another country right now.
For example, Elrond is a French working in Ireland now.
The thing I wanna ask u guys about is : when you work in a foreign land, won't you feel kinda lost and home-sick?
Won't you think of home and such?
I was thinking........if I ever settle down in Australia or the US one of these days, I might feel lost and such. Probably I would be totally suited to the life-style after sometime, but then I'm quite sure I would think of home and such. That's the thing.
Even if I get to sleep with 600 foreign gurls per second when I'm in a foreign country, I doubt that would cure my home-sickness. :):D
wouldn't you say this ?Quote:

I'm sure they make more than up for that :p There are more people that make jokes about Belgians than Belgians making jokes about the French :pQuote:

I don't. I'm not home sick at all. But a lot of other foreigners I know are. I think it just depends on the people. I'd say that my country is the world. I can miss a few French products (especially for food, once again), but not the country itself, and not even my family (as I still have contacts with them through phone and emails,...). If I had to go to another country, I guess it would be more or less the same, and I would probably miss Irish Guinness...Quote:
