Yugo = crappy car that is not made any more ever since USA bombed the hell out of Serbia and a local car factory.
From Simon666:
Really! That's a whole new thing altogether! Agree totally, guys?Quote:
Oh my God, I've just told my greatest secret. I am not the Great Beast or the most evil person in the universe, I'm just a wannabe who loves Guinea pigs.
Now, even the Great Beast has a soft spot! How about Satan? Does he have a soft spot too?
From Platinum pal:
Cos' he thinks being evil is cool, Platinum. U know, those bad guys in movies wearing all black clothes and sunglasses and carry guns and such. Simon thinks that he's one of them, only much more invincible : The spirit of the Great Beast is in him.Quote:
No. Simon is just a wannabe who loves Guinea pigs ....
BUT why the h£ll you wannabe evil
From Goodz:
U're obviously taking her for granted. A cat person, u say? That means she's all hot and totally femine and such.....and ohhh......awwww.......:D :DQuote:

Very funny Mick. :D Speaking of bombing companies making bad products, do you think there is a remotely small chance the legal problems of Micro$oft with your government get a bit out of hand? ;)
Hey!
Good old Bill is trying to do that Platinum Plus has been joking around about. Let's see... He almost has a Monoply over the OS/Software world. He's getting into the Gameing world. He tried(I'm not sure if he's still in it or not) to get into the satellite TV, He has a contract with Mattel, Internet TV, and a contract with NBC.
He's more powerfull than Governments. After all he probally created about 90% of the software that the National Defence uses. You don't think he could get in and send off a Nuke?
Absoulutley not! I love the goverment socking it to them. It's forcing them to release their source code. Making them stop trying to hammer companies that compete with them. My company (I work for a startup) probably will eitherQuote:

1. Get bought out by microsoft
2. Get squashed by microsoft (in years of legal battles against them)
3. Implement a better solution than Microsoft and reap huge profits.
I wish I had the source code like SAIC and other vendors have. It would make my job easier.
I'm more worried that other people could go in and launch a nuke. You never know these days. And I thought most USA defense software used Linux and consorts.Quote:

I'm not a guy that's guarded nukes but my brother has so maybe i'll ask him. But I don't think for the USA anyways you can just set off a nuke with a puter. I would imagine/hope there are mechinal things that require human intervention. Remember your talking 1950's technology which probably hasn't changed all that much.
I don't know. I just figured thaty they use MSQuote:

Definitely! The problem with the government (and almost all governments) is that they're all talk and not actually doing anything. If they did something, problem solved, move on with life. But the problem is this: they are too concerned that if they do something, they will lose popularity. i.e.: if they vote to do something to microsoft (which I think they did, but havent implemented it yet, but thats beside the point), then all the people who didn't want it to happen (such as software companies, etc.) won't like it, and won't re-elect that person to the gov't. And that's all that matters to the gov't. Pretty messed up.Quote:

We have reached the elite plateau of triple digits... that's correct, we have over 100 posts! Not that anyone is counting...
What haven't they implemented? The states I believe are going to file their own class action suits. But as far as I know the DOJ case is over with. And the DOJ doesn't care about politicians but one thing that was obsured was the notion of breaking them up into smaller companies ala baby bells.

excerpt for august 5th 2002
By a Stipulation filed with the Court on November 6, 2001, Microsoft agreed to comply with the terms of the Proposed Final Judgment pending its entry by the Court. Section III.E. of the Proposed Final Judgment requires Microsoft to make available for use by third parties on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms certain technology used by server operating system products to interoperate with a Windows operating system product. Under the terms of Section III.E., Microsoft must offer this technology for license no later than August 6, 2002. Microsoft has informed the Department that it will begin to offer these licenses and start the process of negotiating the terms with prospective licensees on August 6, and that information concerning the licenses will be available on Microsoft's website on that day.
Sorry, I obviously haven't been following this as closely as you have. But the main point is, Microsoft is not yet free from lawsuits of this nature.Quote:
