Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
Which country are you from?
Zamfir is a fellow Romanian. He used to live in France during '80s and '90s, but a few years ago he became broke (like any other great artist ;) ) and he was forced to come back to Romania. He takes part in various concerts, once in a while, but I've never seen him live. Unfortunatelly.
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
America.
I did not know Zamfir was Romanian. I will
have to quite cutting on him.
Romania is cool with me.

Can`t understand why new Pope and The Emperor so similar
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
I heard rumors that George Lucas has decided to make episodes 7-9 also. That's a wonderful news. :thumb:
In the meanwhile, there are 16 days left and I heard that a pirate versions of ROTS is already available on the net. Though I kinda doubt.
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
Someone is bringing in a Zamfir CD for me!
I wonder if he has a Website?
This appears to be one URL.

W00t!! A few months ago, I was thinking it would be nice if Lucas produces another trilogy after the 4-6 episodes. That piece of news is really great!! :thumb: :)
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
Yes, that's great.
15 days left!
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
I've just found the first (of four) draft of Star Wars Episode IV. Very interesting how it begins:
Quote:
The Star Wars by George Lucas
Rough Draft [First of four major screenplay drafts]
Lucasfilm Ltd.
5/74
1. FADE IN:
SPACE
A sea of stars is broken by the vast blue surface of the planet, Utapau. Five
small moons slowly drift into view from the far side of the planet. The main
titles are followed by a roll-up:
Until the recent Great Rebellion, the Jedi Bendu were the most feared warriors
in the universe. For one hundred thousand years, generations of Jedi
perfected their art as the personal bodyguards of the emperor. They were the
chief architects of the invincible Imperial Space Force which expanded the
Empire across the galaxy, from the celestial equator to the farthest reaches
of the Great Rift.
Now these legendary warriors are all but extinct. One by one they have been
hunted down and destroyed as enemies of the New Empire by a ferocious and
sinister rival warrior sect, the Knights of Sith.
A small silver spacecraft emerges from behind one of the Utapau moons. The
deadly little fightercraft speeds past several of the moons, until it finally
goes into orbit around the fourth moon.
(bold highlights are mine)
Quote:
At that moment, all heads turn as someone enters the room. It is General Luke
Skywalker, Commander of the Aquilaean Starforce. He is a large man,
apparently in his early sixties, but actually much older. Everyone senses the
aura of power that radiates from this great warrior. Here is a leader: a
Jedi general. He looks weary, but is still a magnificent-looking warrior.
His face, cracked and weathered by exotic climates, is set off by a close
silver beard, and dark, penetrating eyes. Sandage is somewhat embarrassed and
quietly sits down.
Quote:
The Princess Leia, about fourteen years old, possessing a soft beauty and iron will, is embracing her mother, Queen Breha, a warm, silver-haired matron. There are tears in the princess' blue eyes. Biggs and Windy jump around inside the speeder, disrupting the efforts of the one-armed Amber to pack several plaxiform cases.
Quote:
12. GOVERNOR HOEDAACK'S QUARTERS - ALDERAAN
The large, white-on-white executive quarters resound with the high-pitched
laugh of the evil Governor Hoedaack. He slaps Darth Vader, a tall, grim-
looking general, on the back, and the general's mouth makes the slightest
gesture at a smile.
Quote:
General Skywalker embraces Han Solo, the underground contact. Han is a huge, green skinned monster with no nose and large gills.
Quote:
Devil Two (Chewie), a young hotshot of about sixteen years, miraculously dives his ship through a virtual wall of laser fire, and blasts a huge radar disc into dust. Chewie signals his navigator, who lets out a whooping cheer, as the craft veers into a victory roll.
Very, very interesting how this evolved...
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
Spilberg says we will cry at the end.

The director also revealed that he saw 'Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith' a week and a half ago, and that it was 'absolutely amazing, the best of the last three films'.
He said that George Lucas's film, which hits UK cinemas on May 19, was very dark, and warned listeners: 'You'll cry at the end.'
That means Padme will die...
Re: the eternal conflict between good and evil
Padme....a 16 yr old senator in StarWars II. How silly. Well too bad she didnt get written out of the script in the first movie, maybe a piece of shrapnal or something.
Jar Jar.....a Gungan senator. Not a bright bulb. Probably should have kicked the bucket in the Clone War. The Trade Federation army droids are not much smarter than the Dodo, so that probably explaines it.
Why Lucas? Why?....Maybe Master Yoda will know....possibly bms123 will know...or even Mick if he ever comes back from the Dark Side.
Is this some commentary on politics? Could politics actually get worse in the future? I didn't think it was possible, but 16 year old senators? I mean come on!

PS I got My Zamfir CD today. My favorite song is Corcirlia, sounds just like a bird. Not really sure which one though.

We kind of knew that... just like we knew that Anakin's mom wouldn't make it long. We also know that the free happy world/universe will end (for the time being) and all kinds of Jedi will be slaughtered. Not the feel good movie of the year here.
ahoodin, you're basing that on Earth's humanoids' maturation rate. I mean, a 16 year old girl on Naboo might have a much better head on her shoulders than our 'teen queens. And it's not like she didn't have counsel... right? Then again, it didn't take her long to fall for a hot guy in uniform... ;)

Well I don't think he was playing fair with all his Jedi Mind Tricks. You could tell that if it wasn't for his force, he would have never had a chance with her. She thought of him as a little brother anyways. Oh yeah By the way, I am the Hottest Geek out there. So, If you say She was fit to be a senator, I will go with that. Anybody with the wisdom to start that thread is a better judge of character than me.
Whatever you say. ;)

No, she was a little older actually... Oh well, perhaps she became a senator at 16, but in AOTC she's older than 16. She should be 24 or 26, something like that.

After watching the Star Wars episodes 4-6 for the 6th time I came to the conclusion that they, and specially the Return of the Jedi, are very childish. I mean come one, in a real world the few rebels would never destroy the empire. And a fallen Jedi like Darth Vader that is very strong in Ep 4 would not turn back so easily to the good side after just a few chit chats with his son. Episodes 1-3 (well, 1 and 2 so far) seem much more mature to me. That's why I like them more, specially episode 2.

The corect spelling is Ciocarlia, and is Romanian means Skylark. This is a very famous romanian song.
