Yes, but what about if one day we live...about 500 years. Lots of people, we'll have to restrict our lifes, sharing all we have (food, ressources...etc). How many of you share their car in the morning to go to work ?

Because electronics can't repair themselves and cannot be assembled in 3D (at least not in more than around 100 layers or so). The answer is no right now and as far as I know and suspect will always remain no. The technology will eventually - 20, 100, 500 years - become available, the controllability of the dangers might also become available, but the ethics to allow it will never be available I think.

I has never be a problem when the human kind has invented the H Bomb. When leaders say we can do it or we have to do it..then we do it. So i don't think we can talk about "ethical" or "morally". Humans just do the things when they think it's good for them. They don't do when it's not good for them. They need oil for car ? no problem, they start a war in a country where there is oil. They don't need no more oil ? no problem, them kill fishes by jerking off oil in the sea. Do you think all this is moral ?

Back to electronic brain. I wanted to say "informatical". No physical limitations.

Even if we don't live longer, this will happen eventually.

At one stage humans will HAVE to claim new territories, being on the moon, another planet of the solar system, or further than that. It will take time, and people will die doing that, but it will have to be done.

As we are stil quite far from living 500 years, this will also take time before being a problem. And the human race is partly able to regulate itself. You will find that in most countries where people live longer, they start doing less children. It may take one or two generations, but the immigrant in these countries do the same as well. After they are settled, and start to have their lives changed and being longer, they start doing the same as well. Countries where people live longer are not the most overcrowded countries, even if one might think that it is not healthy for a population to grow to old in average.

Tests with atomic bombs have been limited, not all countries have them despite of early pessimistic forsights. Resistance against genetical manipulation is rising, so regulation will eventually follow, hopefully not all will be forbidden though. And actual cloning of humans (not therapeutical) will probably be forbidden too. I think such an electronic brain will be invented, but its use limited to only (specific superpower) states and so they will not be commonly available for people or companies. Despite of the bureaucratic mess the UN is, I think international regulations can be enforced, although you will always have people (Bush, Saddam) who think those rules apply to everybody except them.

The Netherlands are not a real country. It is just a place where we Belgians can send bad people, like Russia sending people to Siberia. :D :p

As you must know Belgium did everything they could to keep my province, Limburg a part of belgium and they regretfully failed ;)

That was a long time ago. We also tried to keep Congo and failed. :D We did manage however to keep a part of our last colony, Limburg. :D The local inhabitants of which are still considered dumber by people from all other Flemish provinces. :D People seem to speak slower in Limburg. I do know that Dutch people consider Belgians to be dumber, and West-Flemish people do not have a high reputation either, so don't bother pointing me to that. ;) I was just teasing.

If you want to have the answer to your question, you should read the thread from the beginning, and the answer is not to far from there... :D:D

And it's not true that France and Belgium are the capitals of Comics. Just say that other countries create different types of comics. In the US you have all the X-Men and so on, in Japan you have the Mangas and so on. And there may be other types in other countries.

But I agree that comics from France and Belgium have to advantage to cover a wider types of stories. And I prefer them by far.

Although I firmly object to nuclear tests, I do think they look beautiful. It's strange isn't it? Everybody seems to like big explosions when you go to the movies, but nobody likes Palestinians blowing themselves up or Al Quaeda committing attacks. I just thought of using it since it looks beautiful and shows the power of an atom bomb. And if you read the entire thread, you'll also discover another reason, one of my more evil plans. :D :p
