Since it seems that I get to ask the next question, here it is:
What is the next string in the sequence:
1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
?

Guess that was too easy for a minded elf like yourself, especially if you've read "Ants"...
Assalaam o Alaikum,
Hello,
can't get the answer, could you explain?
Allah Hafiz,
bye
I have read "Ants", but I knew the answer from an even longer time. I'm actually reading another book from the same author at the moment. I didn't know that "Ants" got out of France. :thumb:
Signbit > Well, it's quite simple, you just have to read one line aloud to kind of get the next one:
1 is "one 1" -> 11
11 is "two 1" -> 21
21 is "one 2 and one 1" -> 1211
...
:)
Yes it did. So did the sequels, "Ants Revolution" and "The Day of Ants" (hope these are the titles in English). Also a great book is "The Thanathonautes" (Explorers of Death) and it's sequel "The Empire of Angels", while "Missing Link" is not so great as the others, but points out that the pigs have the closest DNA to humans. Well, I've read all the books of Bernard Webber (I mean those that got out of France and entered Romania :D ).Quote:

Assalaam o Alaikum,
Hello,

Assalaam o Alaikum,
Hello,
Oh Sorry Elrond Sir, but I hope that you'll find a very nice job soon...
It's you who should be asking the anohter questin cilu, 'coz you are the one who answere previous question...
Wish you all the best Mr. Elrond...
Allah Hafiz,
Bye,
Since I'll be in vacation for the next 2 weeks I'l try one that should leave no interpretations so you figure it out easy if the answer is right or wrong.
Use numbers 1,4,5,6 and arithmetic operators +,-,* and / to get 24. You can use the numbers only once (cannot have something like 4+4*5) and concatenation is not allowed (65-41 is invalid).
Same problem with 1,3,3 and 6 to get 17.
Solving one is enough. ;)
No answer so far... Is this so hard?
Assalaam o Alaikum,
Hello,
sorry to disappear like that, my univ. has started again actually...
will try to guess the answer... Hopefully in a couple of days, after that, you may post the answer (if no one else tries...)
Allah Hafiz (Bye)
