Where are we from ?

I think for most of the people cinema is an advertisement. Tonight, they GO to the cinema, as they could go to the restaurant or to Disneyland. Then, when people go in a place that is not theirs or which is different from the current life, they have to be different too. So they eat pop corn (but they never eat pop corn at home). They talk during the movie to show that they ARE is the cinema, and other people have to see them..etc...
But maybe all this is not true. Ahah.

But i don't understand why people have to drink or eat while they're watching a film...the movie is not suffisant to fill their need of advertisment ? that must be that.

It's the same with music...how many of you can stay about 30 minutes in the sofa to listen music and doing nothing else (read, sleep), just listening. I only know 2 or 3 personnes with me who can do that. Most of the time, people have to do something while they listening to the music. Reading, working....

BTW, I would have expected you to use "tu", the informal pronoun, instead of "vous". In english it sounds much less formal when we talk to each other whereas in french the difference can be readily told from the usage of "tu" and "vous".

I've been told the French really hate it when Dutch people tutoyer (probably not English) them. So I decided to take no chance. And I know bonjour is one word and I am not intending to keep a French conversation here. I just thought of provoking Platinum a bit since I thought that if he thinks bonjour is two words he would have to try very hard to come up with a translation, let alone an answer. :D

As I said, there will be more actions in the following. I don't think it is just for fans, but they had to respect enough of the book, and the book 1 does not have enough action to make an action movie.

They are definitively just interested to be somwhere with firends. We can't blaim them for that, as for me, I go sometimes at cinema alone, since I go to see a movie and not to talk, laugh, talk, laugh, eat, go to bathroom, came back, slip on something on the ground, ... :D

Yeah, my last "room mates" was unable to study WITHOUT music. I was unable to study WITH music. So you can see the problem, anyway, I've already only listen to music, but I was tired and I was having absolutely nothing else to do :) :D

Most of the time I listen music while playing computer. Is that the same thing for you? Some music remind the game I was playing while listening that music. Each time I heard Godsmack, I remember Starcraft, sound of Hydralisk and Zerglin crawling all over my base :)

Hehe so true :) I get that when listening to oldies and remembering Master of Orion II (the first times I played it) and XCom :) I didn't have a stereo so I listened to this german oldie station :rolleyes:

No, i use to listen music whithout doing something else. But no always. Of course, i'm listening too while doing other things.
I was just asking if you were really loving music to listen it alone and without doing anything else...wow, i repeat the same things each time..ahah...hard to explain.

I'm working in a Radio, and we have some computers. And one evening we played Starcraft and the sound was connected to the mixer. So we have some Protoss or Zerg sounds mixed with the music which was broadcating all over the country. Ahah this was funny. That evening, some people who were listening to the radio must have been surpised by that. Maybe they knew the game and said to themselves: "ohoh, some are playing to starcraft in the radio"...ahah.

Well it really depends on the kind of music. The one thing I tend to listen to without doing anything else is Jazz. I come home from work, put in "Piano Reflections", sit on my sofa and just listen and relax for the 45 minutes. But I couldn't do that for pop or other music (I don't like classical music too much).

Then again a few friends of mine are musicians and when I go to their place they always make me listen to their stuff / new records they bought and then I just listen too. But it's more like figuring out the music rather than just flowing along with it. If this makes sense ;)
