Well, the throne of the assistant site manager actually, and rightfully, belongs to me, Xeon. But as everyone has observed, Mr. Mafiaman has already rise and soar through the ranks above us commoners to become a moderator of 2 forums.(or 3????)

In this case, you really gotta suggest to Brad Jones to get the marketing group at Internet.com to set up at least some advertisments in the MSDN magazine.

In the current November 2002 issue of the MSDN magazine(the latest issue), there's this full page advertisement of CodeProject and guess what?

The names of all the regular members actually appear on the left-corner of the advertisment page! Darn cool, I say!
If Codeguru ever launches this kinda advertisments, be sure to include some of us regular members too.
This is also a very darn great way of boosting loyalty. I'm sure if a war erupts, the folks at CodeProject would die for Chris Maunder.

If Brad sets up such a kinda advertisment, we folks(Simon666, Platinum Plus, XEON, Gabriel, Elrond, Yves Mafiaman and more) would all swear and die by Brad Jones.

That's what the whole darn thing is all about. Cool, eh?! :):D

So, please Yves......I guess it's high time for you to draft out a proposal with all our petitions.

Also, although this new forum software is real darn cool(at least, so much better than CodeProject's)........there's a lot that really needs to be done on the main site.

Now, look at CodeProject's articles. They even have a user rating! Now, this is real darn useful cos' potential users can guage how good/high-quality is a particular piece of code/article.

Lastly, us folks at Codeguru really should have a chance to access this entire Codeguru site so that we can personalise it with whatever we want, right? :D:D

As for you, Solar pal(sorry for breaking your legs the other time.......really sorry, please?).......a free **** is already on the way from Hawaii to Philadephia. Well, initially I was only a moderator for Non-Visual C++ (and testing Area, OK ;)). That is still the forum that I'm taking care of, while Gabriel and Sonu take care of the Visual C++ forum. The reason Brad made me a moderator in the other C++ forums as well is simply to allow me (and Gabriel and Sonu) to move threads around that have been posted in the wrong forum, or delete cross-postings.

And no, you don't have to suck up to me :p

About the MSDN journal and codeproject's ad... Well you should really ask Brad about that ;)

By the way, I haven't found the page you are talking about on the net. So I guess you have seen it in the paper version, or what ?

I'm currently half-way through the delivery administration process with the female-trafficking, and you're telling me not to suck up to you! Well then. Go to : http://www.codeproject.com/combobox/...orpickerst.asp and notice there's a "9 users have rated this article. Result........" somewhere at the top of the page.(not the very top, but slighty down)

Because there's ratings, it'll be more useful for us to guage how good an article is etc. :)
