On a form i have several listboxes, commandbuttond etc.
Up to now ther was nerver a problem.
But since a day or two when i load the programm with frmmenu. in it
all the listboxes, commandbuttons etc. are on position 0,0.
A message is shown to look at the error log, wich one is enclosed.
How can this happen and more important how can i prevent this?

What about the form file that causes the error?
You can look at a .frm file with a texteditor. Just rightclick and select Open with... then select Notepad or other editor to open with.
.frm contains readable text with a block for each control on it. Just examine what the file is like and if the positions of the controls are really unvalid.
Invalid value... Did you change the scalemode of the form? Perhaps by accident? Have you tried to put all those controls back to where they belong, save the progject and reload?

No, i did not change the size of the form.
Yes, yesterday i replaced everything in the form and it was running allright.
But today on loading it was again the same problems.
In fact, it went wrong after i shared mij drive C: with an other new computer.
But i cannot think that this has something to dow with te problems.
I see references to a GUID where there should be names.

Actually the objectid lines are normal in that location if you have those controls added to the form those references show up before the begin form statement.
For some reason all the attribute lines as well as the end statement for the form are missing from the text file version linked above.
add the following lines to the end of that text file and it should be a valid form.

Sorry that i forget to say that what i placed here as frmmenu.txt is only the part of the file where the listbox etc. are mentioned.
I will place the whole frmmenu_frm.txt here and i realy hope you will have another look at it.
It is not only this form that gives the problem but also other forms in this project.

It is even getting worse.
Yesterday i made a new test project.
Only one form and 2 textboxes and one cmdbutton.
When i tried to load it this morning it also was corrupt.
I will enclose all of that project in the .zip
I am getting rather desparade.

This is getting weird...
Your last sample loads without problem. All controls are at their position where they were put I assume. They don't snap to 0.
A look into the complete frmMenu.frm reveals that all Top and Left properties of all controls except of the StatusBar are set to 0, for some reason...
As I do not know what could cause this strange effect, let's ask some basic questions:
Which VB version are you using? Have you got ServicePack 6?
Have you still got a backup of the form as it was before? If so, please send it for examination.
Also please add the .vbp project file for inspection.
Might need to reinstall vb6.0, or might need to stop using source safe or other type of backup program if one is in use... Then again, it might be time for a new hard drive...

New harddrive? No, I think not. If it would start getting read errors it would be a rather intelligent drive, to pick only the Top and Left values to currupt them and leave eberything else alone.
A reinstall sounds more likely, also refraining from using SourceSafe, provided the OP uses it at all.
